2-2 and down to 10 men with 30 + mins to go? All that earlier euphoria has quickly evaporated. Ten men can sometimes be harder to play against but this is Coventry and could be a goal fest for them now they have their tails up.

Now 3-2 down. Damage limitation? If we just sit back and try and absorb we're on a hiding to nothing so really still need to keep countering to try and get one back and hope to salvage something.

Commentators going on about how great Coventry and Lampard are for coming back and how resilient they are and, yes, they are a good team but Molumby's moment of stupidity is what has changed the complexion of this game.

Molumby, two moments of brain dead football, totally unnecessary

I get your point Matt and Molumby's second offence was pretty soft but we all know Molumby has form on this which is what Al was pointing out. Tbh, I too thought that Mason would have replaced him with Diakite for the second half because of that likelihood.

No not harsh when he?s got an awful temperament and undisciplined. Not the first time so he should have been subbed. Four of us all said it when he had the yellow and it was getting heated - he will get a red!

Other players aren?t brain dead like him!

Styles and Maja on for Taylor and Grant with 10 or more mins to go. It's a risk defensively but have to try and get something. With Heggebo off and Price pretty much invisible, Mason has to try something.

4 mins of extra time. 4 mins to hold on and avoid conceding a 4th or 4 mins to try and snatch a point?

Unsure about taking Mikey off at half time in terms of the game plan for the second half but that's a bit irrelevant as I'm afraid that it was Molumby that cost us a point today. Not saying we would have won but going down to ten men against Coventry was never going to end well 😞

I am afraid that whatever we do at the present moment is destined to end in disaster. I am not saying that it is bad luck as the majority of our problems are a result of our own doing. Take today, a game in which we were playing so well and then Mulumby loses his head, again, and we end up losing. Yes, they did get a goal back prior to the sending off but had we had eleven players I feel that we would have got at least a draw.

It is easy to blame Mason for not subbing Mulumby but in all honesty it is Mulumby who has to take the majority of the blame. If there was a fault by Mason, it was subbing Johnston. As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

Cannot find much wrong with that assessment LB. Once they had scored just on the break, I think the writing was on the wall. Mulumby is his own worst enemy at times.

I am glad I stayed at home and did some baking with the lady wife for the upcoming festive season. The house is warm and smells so nice. The problem is I want to eat the sausage rolls. I think I’ll have to do a quality check the make sure they as good as usual. Hopefully she will not notice one or two are missing.

Could it be that they kicked him out of the game?

You don?t need to take any player on a yellow off at half time, eg had it been Mowatt, no need.

But, if a player is known to sometimes be something of a walking red card, you should sub that player, Molumby in this case.

Of course Molumby is mostly to blame, but, I think Mason can?t get away without some criticism.

And, if Johnston wasn?t injured (which I know nothing about at this moment), it?s criminal to sub him, in my opinion.

The better half has done the Xmas cake but seems a bit early yet to do the sausage rolls OB, can't see them lasting until the big day! 😂 (and, yes, I'm always tempted like yourself to do a bit of quality control and I'm sure mine does count them! 😁 )

See Blues are already one up after 3 mins. Wednesday will be a tough game but show the same kind of attacking intent that we did in the first half today and in front of a home crowd and I still hope for 3 points.

They certainly saw Mikey as a threat but the suspicion of others is that this was as much a tactical change as it was to protect a key player. We'll never know the impact this may have had in the second half had we not gone down to ten men but its difficult to disagree with Bartley when he said that MJ had posed the greatest threat and, with Coventry's goal coming just before half time to put the wind back in their sails, it might have been better to continue with him for at least 10 mins to see how the second half panned out before deciding whether to sub him or not.
