So Mason appears to have taken MJ off at half time for 'tactical reasons' whilst we were leading 2-1 instead of taking off hot headed Molumby. On the face of it, it seems yet another strange decision

That seems about the size of it Phil.

With Mikey, unless he was injured, I don't get the need for a tactical change and certainly not at that point in the game.

Like many, I like Molumby's battling spirit but am equally aware of where his hot-headed-ness too often leads him. We know this, Mason should too. Yes, Molumby should own his own behaviour but Mason, as his manager, should know his temperament and I therefore believe that he has to take a proportion of the blame in not subbing him at half-time.

Two decisions from Mason that indirectly cost us but in that first half his game plan worked and we also started to play with some intent at last, breaking faster and in more numbers. Harsh to blame Mason for everything today and once we went down to ten men his options were limited against a good Coventry side.

I notice Blues continue to have their shooting boots on and are now 4-1 up. Another tough game on Wednesday for us. Norwich in serious trouble now

What has now worried me is that Mason stated that it was 50/50 as to who started, Johnston or Illing Junior. For goodness sake, Johnston has been one of the seasons best players and it was a toss up as to who started. Now that is worrying!

I agree LB - MJ is class where Juniors ball control is poor! Totally lost faith in Mason!

MJ should be treated as totally undroppable and we get as much time out of him as we can. I dont get Masons post match comments making out he played only ok, he was 50/50 to start and the decision to bring him off.

I think he is overthinking things. Let the player do his thing. He will lose the dressing room with decisions and narrative like that.

Totally agree Matt. Players don?t know whether they are coming or going with him!
