  • Mulumby

I don?t wish to be too hard on a spirited player, but his inevitable petulance has cost us. In all sincerity, once he?s got a yellow card, he needs subbing promptly.
Not wishing to be a smart a*rse, but I commented at the time that a red card was likely if he stayed on.
(Having said all that, their late first half goal proved to be cataclysmic)

For me, if you cant trust a player to keep their head after a yellow, they shouldnt be here. A manager cant just make a sub when a player gets a yellow.

Cov also had two yellows at half time and didnt change.

    Time to move Mulumby on.

Think more than a few of us felt exactly the same regarding Molumby Prando!

Their goal just before half time certainly had its impact and put Coventry's tails up which is why I'm sure many of us questioned why Mikey was subbed at that point but IMHO it was the sending off that pretty much killed off any chances of winning today.

Interestingly baggiematt buddy, I thought Mason alluded to your comments referring to him and lack of discipline.

His ‘offences’ were trifling, nonsensical to be sent off for that, the game is becoming pathetic. Given that he was on a yellow, though, he should have been more wary of his actions, it was obvious that the ref would send him off for next to nothing.

While I criticised Mulumby on another thread, and rightly so, I do admire his energy and enthusiasm. Having said this, he must learn to curb this enthusiasm as like today, it can hurt us.

Absolutely. Whilst I only watched on TV so not sure whether I am doing him an injustice , but every time I been at a match, he’s forever in the ref’s ear. Human nature will dictate that comeuppance will be inevitable !
(Reminds me a bit of Gayle in that regard)

Wrong Matt on the basis it was Molumby who is a petulant hot head. Any other player I would agree with you. After the yellow he should have been subbed and in my view he?s worse than Collyer anyway and certainly it better than Diakite.

Poor decision keeping Mr Brainless on the pitch!

Well then he shouldnt be played or a member of the squad. You cant have a player you have to take off whenever they get a card.

Don?t disagree with you in principle Matt but the point is when he has form for being petulant and brainless in a dirty match - it?s plainly obvious you would sub him as everyone could see a red coming. He?s not even that good and Collyer on the bench is better.

Had it been a key player like Phillips on a yellow and is certainly not petulant of course you wouldn?t sub him!

Bit of a difference! Mason is at fault once again for poor managerial decisions along with taking off MJ. The guy is clearly out of his depth.

I dont think i have ever seen a manager take a player off at half time because they are on a card. Again, the reason for this is the manager must trust that if he says ‘dont get carded’ they wont.

The fact that the fan base dont trust that he wont be able to contain himself tells you enough about the bloke to know he is a liability. 11 yellows and 1 red last season. This simply isnt good enough and he isnt a good enough player to carry on like this.

I have said before I dont think this squad is great and I think this is another example. We have 3 strikers and 2 of them can barely run, a midfielder who isnt safe on a yellow and absolutely no pace in the side.

I dont think Mason is a marvel but I doubt it improves if he gets the chop.

out all day so although I did hear the full time score only just seen the lowlights.
2nd yellow card is very soft and not worthy of a yellow card.
lowlights didn't show the 1st yellow card

If Mason goes for me we would definitely improve. Yes the side needs improvements but with a good manager we would be capable of the play offs or around there. The decisions Mason makes week in week out shows he?s out of his depth and the players don?t know whether they are coming or going.

MJ our best player must be thinking what the hell does he need to do to get 90 minutes! You have mentioned strikers and midfield but what about the defence? The Cov first goal was defensively shocking!

Bringing on Junior for MJ for tactical reasons is a joke!! Bostock who has fantastic potential must be praying Villa come along!

                              No excuse for Mulumby
                              He is a professional footballer.
Some of the best often play on the edge but he’s nowhere near good enough even when he is on his best form for us to indulge in his lapses of discipline.
Claudio Yacob was always likely to be red carded but blimey if you got passed him you deserved a goal and unlike Mulumby was an asset to the team overall.
