  • Billy Bonds RIP.

Always liked him as a player. Real sportsman on the pitch. Made 799 appearances for the Hammers. Cut from the same cloth as our own "Bomber."

He said: "I would?ve happily played down the local park for nothing.

"But I was fortunate enough to get paid to be a footballer and, trust me, realise just how lucky I?ve been to have had such a fantastic career."

Superb old fashioned centre half who wore his heart on his sleeve. He was a real gentleman off the pitch as well. RIP Billy

A truly great player! Always reminded me of John Wile in the sense of a powerful battler!

Another good win for Folkestone yesterday so looks like your walking that title!

I remember him more as a swashbuckling midfielder alongside Trevor Brooking who made West Ham play whilst Bonds made sure the other team didn't. Great character.

Early days still Al but the team are playing well and certainly deserve that top spot at the moment.

Before my time to be honest, but my dad was most complimentary. He loved the players and the game of his younger days, more so than today’s game.

As I have said before about the players of yesteryear, they were made of sturdier stuff and were, generally, more down to earth.

RIP and respect. Condolences to his family.

Non league football Tipps is exciting and I follow all of Scarborough results with Greening there! There?s some really decent kids too in these games.

Difficult one as managers need a bit of luck, get fans on their side with exciting football and develop players especially youngsters.

For me Darren Moore has been a big disappointment at Management and Port Vale are rock bottom with some supporters calling for his head. Bradford were promoted with Port Vale and playing great football and up there near the top!

I like the fact Greening has gone back to the bottom to learn his trade and a bit like Derek McInnes. Mason has zero experience at management and itÂ’s showing!
