Anyone watching the Ashes.

Not a good start by England in the second test, 2 for 5 at one point. 176 for 4 now.

I like the Ashes series, albeit I do not generally follow cricket. It would be great if England could beat the Aussies in their own back yard.

I do not pay for TNT sport, who I believe are showing it in the UK. We don?t pay for TNT or any other service, other than the TV Licence of course, as we are not big to watchers of television. I could not get up at four in the morning to watch it either, but I guess the real ardent followers of the game will.

Use to love listening to TMS Live on Radio 4 when I lived over in England. Loved the Boxing day test and would have the radio on listening to in. Great commentators in those days.

I haven't much followed as intently as I use to years ago. Brian Johnston always made it special....I think he put the "S" in TMS.

Sadly we are not at the same standard as the Aussies.Thanks to this disgrace of a team I can accept losing gracefully as we not at the same level now to see what our inconsistent Baggies put out this morning my time

While not making too many excuses for the England performance I firmly believe that Test Cricket should be restricted to the day format. It is a completely different game under the lights and with the orange ball. If you are on the wrong end of the conditions then you are up against it. I am not making excuses for our batting, bowling and fielding but would prefer, as far as possible, to play on an even playing field.

Another inept pitiful batting display, time and time again wafting at wide balls, I don?t think the players are arrogant, they are just thick, only Joe Root has any foot movement, the rest just stand and waft, what is Marcus Trescothic doing out there, he?s supposed to be the batting coach, he needs to switch on and do his job
When I was captain if players consistently got out to the same shot without learning then they would be gone until they learned to bat properly, this needs to happen with this closed shop of an England team, and the coaches need to step up as well or they?re gone as well
Australia are light years ahead in every department, you can plainly see the planning and application
Mc Cullum, Stokes, Key et all your bazball headless chicken approach doesn?t work, it?s repetitive and quite frankly embarrassing
Joe Root tried it and it nearly ruined his game, thankfully he saw sense and reverted back to playing proper cricket, that?s why he?s the best in the world, Root and Anderson?s records will never be beaten by any English player playing the way they do, they just arn?t at the crease long enough, bowling wise the lot of them are just mediocre

Australia wrapped ⁠up an 82-run win on day five of the third test in Adelaide on Sunday to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series and retain the urn.
So England don't have bad cricketers, they just can't hold there drink.
What a woeful excuse.

Mmm. I was trying not to contemplate on this Ashes series to much. It is pitiful really. Representing your country in any sport at the highest level should be an honour and yet it appears they resort to the English culture of boozing.

Shameful if it s correct. And it appears there is evidence to suggest it is so.

And your right Dubs, it is a woeful excuse. So far they have shown they are simply just not good enough.
