Very true, add to that the sale of Palmer and Fellows and that tells you why Nestor should be removed from WBA.

Our younger son who lives in Melbourne is visiting for a few days and we’ve got him a match ticket to join us on Friday !
We’re watching on TV but the programme keeps stalling … maybe just as well

What do people see in Diakate? Apart from his booking, has he touched the ball yet?

Grunt scores only 3-1 now - as we have scored it means Mason will now keep his job till the next one

Southampton eased off now 3-1 and still no changes to try and get back in the game

Well we lost again showed a bit of fight second half junior missed a sitter to have drawn the game. But to have been 3-0 down at HT was a shocker

Bit of fight shown but Saints completely switched off. Poor miss from Junior but he?s a poor player. The intensity returned when MJ came on so can?t believe he was benched yet again! You start your best players!!!!

In fairness, I have not seen the game tonight as was at a Xmas function. However, having seen the starting eleven it makes you wonder what planet is Mason on? How you can leave the best player out of the side is just beyond belief. Add to that, a goalkeeper who at best is only average and to leave out Mulumby for Diakite and to also include Illing Junior makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

As I have stated before, I have rarely criticised any of our managers but it is now getting to the farcical level. What he is thinking of, I just do not know!

I was working so could neither watch or listen to the match but agree with Leics. that Mason's team selection surely had a good deal to do with the result. Southampton away was always going to be tough but what was he thinking starting Wildsmith before Griffiths and Illing Junior before Mikey?

As for the other changes, Molumby may not possess too much quality and has already demonstrated that he badly needs to work on his self control at times but he has heart and battles so why start Diakite instead? Aside from his mix up with Wildsmith last week that led to another QPR goal, I also think that Campbell is normally decent defensively and improving in his forward play so was a bit surprised to see him dropped although, to be fair, Beilik is generally solid. The other change I kind of get because Maja was poor last game but then Price has been underwhelming for a while now. I think we look better with two strikers though so maybe might have still started Maja alongside Heggebo for 45 then switched him for Dike. We might as well see what he can offer as he can't do much worse and bringing him on at 89 mins seemed pretty pointless. I notice Ollie Bostock didn't get an opportunity either.

I am pleased for Grant getting his goal as I think he is pretty consistent in his work ethic and it's an overdue reward for his hard work but trying to stage a come back at 3-0 down was never going to work. Then again, we should never have been in that position in the first place. Whilst I don't think Mason's team selection helped, from what I've read, it seems like yet again we only started to show any intent in the second half?

Simply not good enough from either Mason or some of the players. A loss on Saturday and I can't see Patel putting up with this any longer.
