Whilst watching Folkestone today, news filtered through that the game between Welling and Potters Bar was abandoned before a ball was kicked. The reason that did the rounds was that the two managers had an altercation before the game and one head butted the other one ending in a broken nose! Must be a first for this to happen and it has made the national newspapers apparently.

I'm only surprised if this hasn't happened before Tipp...Originally posted by TipperaryBaggie View PostWhilst watching Folkestone today, news filtered through that the game between Welling and Potters Bar was abandoned before a ball was kicked. Does sadly seem that, as a sport, football attracts that element more than others Al and it seems to start quite early on. I know three people who help run kids teams, all in different parts of the country, and they all moan about pushy and aggressive parents. My youngest brother, who watches a lot of rugby at various levels, always says that he hasn't seen that sort of behaviour in rugby though despite it being an obviously contact game.Originally posted by baggieal View PostReally sad and generally only happens in football. Another good win for Folkestone though Tip and I keep my eyes on their results now. My late mum used to live down that way.
