  • Subs on the Touchline

Just an observation but have you noticed lately a trend for the subs to be prancing up and down the touchline in the belief they are simply 'warming up'?

I've seen them many a time at different ends of the field standing there (not warming up) urging players on, gesticulating and shouting instructions, is this allowed, bearing in mind managers are restricted from leaving their small technical area?

And what is the point of the CORNER quadrant? A player places the ball with barely a shadow touching the outline of the line, why not state the ball must be within the quadrant, i'm sure it must have been once upon a time.

Interesting point regarding subs on the touchline.
At the QPR match recently when I was in the brummie, I noticed all our subs out warming up along the line but also deliberatly encroaching onto the pitch so they could run on the turf rather than the green plastic they use at the very edge of the pitch.
I dont understand why they have the plastic and not real turf?

Stargazer - they probably have green plastic so our players on huge salaries like Wallace and Dike don?t get their studs stuck causing another injury 😭😭
