  • FA cup 3rd round proper TV coverage

This weekend sees the FA cup 3rd round proper, which normally sees a glut of matches on terrestrial TV.
I just checked the TV listings and then the FA site to find that over the 4 days that the matches are being played, Fri thru to Mon only 2 are on terrestrial TV. This is a big change from last season where there must have been probably 6 or so matches shown. TNT sports/Discovery+ seem to have them all hovered up.

We usually rely on Sky (!) for away games and normally would not be overly interested in the early Cup rounds. However, given the managerial situation, there is an additional incentive to watch.
We?ve never paid to watch via WBA?is their coverage any good ?

As a boy, I use love the first week in January for the FA Cup competition. Snow on the pitches, shock upsets and the chance the Baggies might be on extended highlights that night.
Back when there was no saturation football coverage on TV. Ah the simple eyes of youth.

Thanks, you’ve just saved me some time, I was planning to be home by 3pm tomorrow to settle down to watch the game! I hadn’t realised that it was on Sunday!

I second that. I would never have known either.
