Thanks for sharing and my first listen. Comes across really well and like him but needs to excite the supporters and fast. Nobody expects to rocket up the table but when money is scarce people do expect excitement! Give some of the youngsters the chance too and throw out the dross on big money.Originally posted by Dubbag View PostDecent interview and again the very best in the new job....

platitudes
What else did you expect him to say - it's just platitudes . But reality is no championship experience like Mason plus he weill not have a great contact network as loans is all we will get.Originally posted by Titchfieldbaggie View PostVery highly thought of by management, and impressive through the recruitment process, apparently. Which beggars the question of why Mason was appointed in the first place? Or am I missing something, here? Anyway I wish him well.
His talk of swift counter attack shows me he is bnaware of our current squad realities
Don't believe he is the answer and here are 2 facts to make us all think
1] Collyer is recalled and then sent to Hull. So Man Utd think he will develop better at Hull than with us
2] Carrick prefers interim manager at Man Utd rather than build project with us
The reality is we are a mid table championship club just like Peace said- it's harsh , it's sad but it's true
I wish Ramsay well but I do not believe he is the answer

I too have wished Ramsay well and think he?s an intelligent guy. That said he needs players to come in as the performance at Swansea was dire.
I have said on a number of posts Collyer was a clever kid with quick feet and did not consistently get a chance. I can see him going to Hull and proving he?s a top player, Far better in my opinion than Mowatt, Molumby, Diakite or even Styles in the middle.

Why would he not have contacts? He coached at United, Chelsea, Wales and managed in USA. Their season is over now so we might get some good free transfers.Originally posted by bordering View PostWhat else did you expect him to say - it's just platitudes . I wouldnt take it personally around the United job. It was hardly like Sophies Choice picking between the two.
Anyway you might be right about the championship experience. If it doesnt work out Bruce and Mowbray on the other line waiting to come back.

He probably would be the best person to have contacts for hungry young players. That?s what we need which cost nothing. Out with dross like Maja, Dike, Wallace and more young hungry Bostock and Williams type players. I played that Bostock penalty over again and again and his celebration in front of fans. The joy on the boys face was priceless. Would Maja feel the same?Originally posted by baggiematt View PostWhy would he not have contacts? He coached at United, Chelsea, Wales and managed in USA. Two interviews now, I don't think I saw that many in the whole time of Mason.
Perhaps Albion are going to make Eric more available i.e. show media interviews from the day before each game, something which never happened with Mason as we had to rely on a bloke from the E&S giving you his interpretation of the meeting.
We'll see
