    We can?t defend
    Taylor, Mepham, Phillips are crap
    We need an experienced goalkeeper
Our best player is NOT a wingback
    Price is not a10
    Our recruitment team need replacing

Apart from all that everything is rosy, best of luck Mr Ramsey your gonna need it with this bunch of no hopers, worst Albion side in over 30 years

I was watching the match with two Leeds season ticket holders and they could not believe the gaps in our defending. The other point was after the second goal we sat back and invited pressure. I thought the attack needed sorting but clearly it?s everywhere. Poor display from Taylor and for me Griffiths is still a poor second best to Palmer.

It?s not bad luck but switching off which is our making and lack of quality. Six pointer v Norwich otherwise we are deep in trouble.

I actually think Griffiths is tailor made for what Ramsey wants to do. He is a good shot stopper but struggles on the ground. I cant see much play being on the ground to be honest.

He could do with commanding his area better though.

We need a RWB and to put Campbell in over Taylor.

Im a bit concerned about the anti-football but hopefully we will counter better going forward.

Campbell does a job and better than Taylor but for me not a full back and not great in going forward. Felt for Ramsay last night when that third goal went in. We need another Gareth M back and a Yusuf in midfield.

Heggebo needs to be quicker too. That chance early on - one touch and bang but his speed of thought is too slow,

        Must beat Norwich now

I dont think Taylor played full back though Al. He was one of three centre halves. A lot of managers now want that left sided one to be left footed. But given how bad Taylor is, I dont think that should be our priority.

I wonder where he played or should?ve played? Because we had Phillips/Mepham/Bielik all starting too.

Maybe Bielik was defensive midfielder, but, in truth I think line up and positions were a tad confusing, maybe so for players too.

We were all baffled by Masons selections but to be honest I was not overly impressed with the side or positions selected by Ramsey. Johnstone is certainly no wing back and will nullify his strengths and Price is a box to box midfielder. To my mind Campbell is our best right back and we miss the energy of Mulumby in midfield and the toughness of Mowatt. The goals last night were not down to Griffiths either.

I think broadly he will setup with 3/5 at the back, keep compact and counter. We are not staffed well for that but a couple of signings could change everything.

Iling Junior isnt great but he was our main threat out left. I think thats his best position. Johnstone is a round peg in a square hole, Im almost certain we will get a right wing back very soon.

It was such a huge change in style considering he has been here less than a week. Training time will help get it right.

I am worried though about style of play. Unless what he wants to achieve changes with a few signings, to sit that deep at home was worrying. It took years to get the pulis out of us and I hope hes going to build more balance.

If Ramsey's plan is to absorb the play and then strike quickly on the break, I'm afraid he hasn't got the strikers who will take these limited opportunities. All this season, we have created lots of chances but have failed to take many of them. I don't think that Heggabo is an opportunist striker who can take limited chances when they arise.

No point bemoaning us having sold Fellows, Palmer or Heggem because those ships have long sailed and I think the harsh reality is that we will not see any real funds to upgrade the squad until the summer either so Ramsay will have to utilise what we have.

For me, our best defensive line up (while not ideal I know) is Griffiths, Campbell, Bielik, Phillips and Styles. Midfield -when fit-should include both Molumby and Mowatt. Neither are the creative players we so badly need in that position but at least we won't be so easily run over in that area. I'd like to see young Whitwell also get his chances in midfield.

Going forward, Mikey has to play on the wing. Ramsay may indeed be able to ultimately develop him into a successful wing back as he did with one of his wingers at Minneapolis but we don't have the time and MJ looked uncomfortable in that role to say the least.

Heggebo, for me, still has to lead the line as a number 9 and Grant is probably a better number 10 behind him than Price although if Maja improves we could do ok with playing him there and play Grant on the wing. The other option is to play Grant as a 10 and play Illing Junior (who was better last night) on the left wing. Not ideal as Junior has been largely underwhelming since joining us but we also have the option of swapping Mikey to the left wing and using Ollie Bostock or Wallace on the right.

Very early days for Ramsay of course but, as he said in his post-match interview, if we took the best bits of the first half and the best bits of the second and could manage to play 90 minutes like that, then we would be on our way to performing as he would want us and points should follow.

Key take aways for me from last night were that 1) we were defensively too open and Styles is a better LB than Taylor 2) Mikey needs to play as a winger 3) Our breaking was much better being faster and getting more bodies forward but whilst the first half showed that possession may not be everything it also showed that we cannot afford to defend so deeply and invite pressure for so long and expect to get away with it. Far too static in the latter stages of the first half. 4) At 2-0 down we did begin to rally and started to play some decent football with more intent that began to pay off and created us chances but, yet again, our failure to be more clinical cost us. The push for a late winner was understandable but it also made us more open at the back and vulnerable to conceding the almost inevitable last minute goal. Maybe with a team with less quality than Boro it may have worked but the obvious lesson is to try and avoid leaving everything so late in the game.

                            Decent summary Omeg buddy.
I prefer to see Mikey on the left, with Grant as No 10 and Styles as LB. All three have threatened when playing together.
I still have some belief in Maja. Clearly fitness is key there, but he shows good touches and foresight. Heggebo, however, would take priority over him at present.
Defensively, I?m not overly keen on Campbell at FB, but he has something about him. Finally, I?m undecided over Illing, moments of skill, but undone with lack of concentration - mot unlike Diakite.
Still, I am behind Ramsey and keen to see how he sets up for Norwich.

Good points there Omeg. Are Boro any better than us? Had Mason not picked a s hit starting line up at Boro we could have got a result. Last night did Boro deserve the three points considering the sloppy goals? As Prando says it?s game management. That effectively translates to an experienced manager playing the best players in the correct positions and having a tactical formation that works. Take Man Utd they have been dire without any shape or conviction. Carrick comes in with the correct starting line up and the SAME team played Man City off the park, Man U were brilliant.

Tells you something! My fear could be we have an inexperienced manager who could be Mason number 2! I hope not but whatever anyone says - it would have been the cheapest option.
