1st game, needs to settle in.
A week until the next game thankfully for both us and the team.

Certainly a calamitous error and it rocked his confidence with a couple of mis-judgements later on that luckily didn't get punished. Hardly the "freshness" and inspiration for the defenders in front of him that Ramsay had hoped he would provide tonight!

As others said when the starting eleven was announced, I would have stuck with Griffiths tonight as O'Leary has only just walked through the door but will still reserve judgement on him as it would be pretty hard to be worse than Wildsmith (whose contract is up in June) and his distribution at least seemed better than Josh's.

To my mind Griffiths should not have been dropped in the first place.

Don't think you'll find anyone on here who disagrees with you Leics!

Up until his mistake by the way he hadn?t hardly touched the ball, his kicking was spot on right down the middle & effortlessly never once did he kick it out of bounds, like others I?ve seen this season ,

And, that?s probably the reason he was brought in.

But, agree with others, Griffiths should?ve played.

Griffiths had let 5 goals in on the previous match and 3 the game before, normally we would be clamouring for him to be dropped.
I wasn't too concerned in seeing the new keeper in there and it's done now so he will continue.

I think he will do OK over the next few months. Can't be easy coming straight in and going number one.
                    I know it's a big ask but let's give him a chance....

Griffiths may have let in eight goals in the last two games but that was because of the ineptitude of those in from of him. To be honest, I do not think that any of them were his fault. It is not going to do the lads confidence any good to drop him when most of the fault lies with the defenders. As a club we do not appear to help our youngsters as can be seen with the likes of Griffiths, Bostock, Whitweii and probably Williams when fully fit.

O'Leary's error cost us last night but I guess all goal keepers make howlers at some point so can't write him off after just one performance. His distribution was better than Griffith's and given the number of kicks he was allowed this must have been one of the reasons he was brought in and he is, apparently, a decent shot stopper.

Nonetheless, I feel sorry for Josh and agree that for many of the goals conceded recently he was not at fault and that dropping him will not have helped either his confidence or development.

Listening to Ramsay, it seems to be his intention to start O'Leary before Griffiths and he may indeed prove decent but whilst we did need another GK, a more pressing priority was surely to try and bring in a creative midfielder.

Come June absolutely poor high paid players like Maja, Wallace, Dike should be shown the door. Personally, I would try and raise funds by selling Griffiths and Grant in this transfer window.

I would have thought these young managers would relish youngsters like Bostock, Williams and Whitwell getting minutes. Maybe it?s because Mason and Ramsay can?t be remembered for their playing careers 😂

Yes, and Bostock will always be the better option than Ailing. Griffiths is still young in the development of a goalkeeper and should keep his place unless we have someone significantly better, which O’Leary isn’t. By the way, another young player that we should not have sold, Caleb Taylor, scored again today for Millwall; well done Nestor.

Despite Ramsay talking about hoping to strengthen some areas of the pitch in this transfer window (likely loan players if it does happen) I don't honestly forsee it myself. More a case of waiting until June when we will get several high earners are off the books and the PSR rules give us more leeway to rebuild.

As for Grant, I would be personally reluctant to sell him at the moment given the lack of squad depth and, frankly, the need to just see this season through without dropping into the relegation zone. Totally agree about starting to utilise our younger players though Al. Very early days with Ramsay, but hope to see him at least begin to give Bostock (surely worth trying instead of Illing Junior), Whitwell and Williams their opportunities.
