  • Karlan Grant

Out for three months so that?s a blow. Hope this does not encourage Dike to trip over the cones at Pompey!

I imagine thats the last we see of him now.

Your best ability is availability, and he has been out for 4 months of this season. Unlucky, but we cant be offering him a new deal.

Fortunately, we have Ollie Bostock to come in for Grant, unless, of course the club decide to loan him out…….!

The team selection for the Portsmouth match will be interesting!

Probably won?t see him in an Albion shirt again, hard worker, gets us up the pitch but very little end product in either assists or goals, I believe he?s out of contract come June, I wish him well, no way can Bostock go out on loan now

Could not have put it better Bomber. A bit like Heggebo - very little end product with his feet!

No way can Bostock go on loan now but then again it?s Nestor who knows no more about football than my knowledge of netball.

Given the lack of depth in our squad, this is not what we needed, particularly.at this stage where we need to urgently turn things around. Personally, I preferred him both to Iling Junior on the wing or to Price if played as a number 10 behind Heggebo.

As others have commented, Grant may not have provided very much in the way of goals or assists but since coming back from loan his commitment and work rate have redeemed him amongst many. I think you are right though that this injury may now end any chances he may have had of being offered an extension to his contract when his current one expires.

Considering both his high wage and lack of goals, he certainly cannot be deemed a successful signing but can't fault his effort since returning to us and wish him well. In the meantime, let's hope that Ollie Bostock now gets his chances and that Danny Imray can prove himself
