  • Anyone Confident this Saturday?

For me no! Ramsey will be itching to add his new players to go for the formation he believes in! How can this be achieved though with a poor static midfield and Heggebo who is flat footed and looks knackered. What time will Laurel and Hardy come on to run off their full English?

Go one nil down and the drums of discontent will start. I bet Patel will stay hiding in sunny Florida praying his cheap skate appointment pulls off a miracle 😭

Surely we can squeeze three points out of the Stokies? We must be due a slice or two of luck, although we should be making our own luck. Saturday is an opportunity for us as Blackburn and Oxford look unlikely to get any points from their matches. So, I have a little optimism regarding the Stoke game……..!

Need to start well on the front foot Ketts with intent. I would not start all these new players but more of a consistent formation and players v Leicester away. I would also drop Price unless played in his best position,

Ramsey looks more stubborn than Mason to me so can imagine more disliked by the players too! Go one nil down and nerves will set in!

This is going to be a nightmare to predict, apparently they have been working on a new shape and formation, god knows what we are going to get.
Stoke are a hard team to beat, full of good players and forwards that score

Utter confusion again on Saturday. The new second string players from their clubs will not know whether they are coming or going. Will Dike, Maja and Myhill be working on their shapes😭

Historically we have rarely performed in matches that matter. Sjoke are strong this season and will bring a large and loud crowd. Given our current predicament, they are surely favourites.
They will be expecting to win. Somehow, we need to take them down a peg or two.
I think we may surprise everyone.

PS I have no intelligence to support this view

Not feeling a lot of confidence tbh and then we have Blues on Saturday.

The two young players brought in on loan sound decent and have a bit more experience than our own Bostock and Whitwell but, whilst I obviously hope they do well and can maybe provide a bit of inspiration, it might have been preferable to have been able to bring in at least one seasoned Championship player who wouldn't be phased by the dog fight we now find ourselves in. That ship has sailed though, so we will just have to make the best of what we have.

Ramsay has at least had another week between games to spend with the team but just hope that he doesn't rigidly stick to his preferred formation and instead plays one more suited to those players at his disposal. Maybe he will at least realise that Mikey creates far more playing wide as a winger, that Campbell is better than Gilchrist and (admittedly based on his first outing) Imray and that Styles is better than Taylor.

With the underwhelming Illing Junior now gone and Grant out injured, it will also be interesting to see who Ramsay selects on the left and where he fits in Mustapha and Jimoh-Aloba who are both listed as "attacking midfielders". I'm certainly not saying that we don't need players for this role but personally think we will also need a defensively solid central midfielder in this game so if Mowatt is fit I would play him. Maybe one of these youngsters will replace Price on Saturday?

Stoke are a decent side and a bit of a bogey team for us so, apart from Ramsay getting the formation right, the players themselves must, at the very least, show fight and competitiveness. Anything else and it's going to get ugly.

My confidence levels depend entirely on formation, setup and who he picks.

If we go 5 at the back and sit deep with Charlie Taylor, then we aren't winning another game against any other side in this league.

If we go 4 at the back, he picks the right team and we push the defensive line forward, then we have half a chance.

No, not that confident about getting three points. Three reasons, firstly our confidence is at an all time low, secondly, I do not think that Ramsay will pick the best side and thirdly, play the right system.

Yep, that about sums it up Leics.

Still, here's hoping for some kind of miracle on Saturday as a decent performance and win would help an awful lot at the moment. Fail to do either and the pressure on Ramsay will increase massively.

The first goal Johnny will be massive so needs to be us. I fear for that idiots starting line up though with everyone knowing what to do and knowing their position.
