Exactly. High wages equals high expectations. Yet, had we paid a transfer fee we probably wouldn't be talking about him in the same way, funny how it works out like that.

I agree with you about his leadership and I do think he's a good character who will run into the ground for us. But I thought he had a poor game last night. Having said that, he's the type of character we need for the run in.

The club captain doesnt have to be on the pitch for 90 minutes to be effective.

His professionalism always seems to be outstanding and he reeks of a leader with high standards.
Couldn?t agree more. He always seems to be so passionate about the club and always gives everything. He?s proven yet again that he can still contribute. Absolute top professional in my opinion

If you look at the wages for junior in excess of 50 grand a week and he was utter s hite, then Wallace on half those wages per week in comparison it makes him Ronaldo.

        It?s a funny old world 😭😭😂😂

Wallace is a good club man and he wears his heart on his sleeve; when he's not hiding up his own backside whenever we play Millwall that is. I like him and I like his endeavour. That doesn't mean he's ever represented value for money. Like Swift he was signed on a free off the back of his most productive season as he was entering the post peak stage of his career.

In other words right at his peak which coincided with the start of his physical decline, with no sell on value representing a book loss in the form of an ongoing financial commitment no other club was likely to take off our hands. He was the type of lazy signing that was indicative of the Gourlay era. Exactly the same as Swift. In an ideal world neither of them would have signed for us.

But he?s a good pro and nice in the changing rooms despite his 25/30K per week salary 😂😂
