  • Frank sacked.

Big mistake in my opinion. I realise that results are the only things that matter but their injury list has been horrendous and while accepting that all clubs have injuries Tottenham?s have been off the scale. Only my opinion though!

Wish he would come to us LB as a huge class above Ramsey! Great championship experience too!

At least TV viewers will be spared seeing his tonsils as he chomps, open mouthed, on his chewing gum; horrible sight.

From the outside looking in I don't think the squad or support base ever really bought into what he was about. Decent manager though he undoubtedly is, as evidenced from his time with Brentford, it just seemed like the wrong fit in terms of preferred playing style and differing expectations. Spurs and their support base do not see themselves as Brentford in waiting so why appoint someone who is used to going into Premier League games as an underdog playing underdog football when Spurs aspire for the Champions League? An odd fit from the outset compounded by injuries and an unbalanced squad recruited over a number of managers and styles of play. Still, not my problem .

Is he a huge class above Ramsay? I'm not sure, look at what Keith Andrews is doing there now.

Brentford are a mastarclass example in how you should approach a manager's position. Basically, a manager should buy into your formation, your players and your recruitment model - not the other way around.

It doesn't really matter who manages Brentford, or Brighton. The philosophy and formation is the same. This is why a Director of Football is the most important position at our club - and we don't even have one! Someone to say - we play this formation and we buy players based on this formation. And the manager needs to be on board with it.

We shouldn't be subject to Ramsay wanting to play 5 at the back. Our recruitment has been shocking. We've sold our better players in recent times such as Heggem, Palmer, Fellows and possibly Taylor, and replaced them with inferior players. Its no surprise we are where we are, and it doesn't matter if Mason, Ramsay or Pep is managing us.

I'm not knocking Ramsay at all. I'm just saying Frank or whichever manager you want to pick would struggle to get a tune out of us. Patel needs to employ a Dan Ashworth type figure, it needs to be someone competent and he needs to do it quickly.

A Spurs mate of mine said exactly the same, Dan?.
