  • Team for Norwich

Surely our talented youngsters like Whitwell, Bostock and Williams will start at Norwich! Bit rich we have a youngster from Vile on big wages who certainly does not look any better than the rest.

I am sure the likes of Wallace could do with a rest as he looked knackered v Blues after 20 minutes.

Bit rich too Cleary and Caleb are doing brilliantly and Millwall supporters rate Caleb highly so does their experienced manager. Perhaps they saw the potential!!

Hope Ramsey reads the room before these players end up elsewhere. Caleb especially must be having a right laugh with Millwall going so well for a play off place.

Given the recent capitulation to Norwich it would certainly be nice to prove a point but ultimately the league fight has to be the priority above the cup, especially given our position in the table and our on going injury list. With this in mind, I too really hope that Williams, Whitwell and Bostock all get their opportunities on Saturday to prove their worth and then, perhaps, we might see them play their part going forward.

Totally agree Omeg and make no mistake if Coventry do not beat us their automatic hopes will diminish so the league must be priority.

No problem with giving the young uns a run out tomorrow. Huge problem if they have no first team experience around them to help them through though as it's still a first team fixture. Does my head in when we just chuck youngsters in like we did at home to Arsenal in the FA Cup under VI. That and I'm going. I'd rather not travel all the way to Norwich to see how our U21s get on even if it is only a tenner entrance fee.

I still have flashbacks to seeing Victor Anichebe playing defensive midfield against Norwich in an experimental line up during Tony Pulis's time in the League Cup. Midweek, on the train, with an overnight stay. If Ketts is reading this he'll remember the night in question because we went to a pub for a post match lock in which didn't materialise and I ended up walking a bit of a distance back into Norwich at Late O'Clock.

Spare a thought for the healthy development of our young talent while keeping the travelling support in mind. Let's face it, we really haven't had much to cheer about on our travels across the length and breadth of the football league this season. Swansea on New Years Day was a kick in the bajangas of a performance. Winning the penalty shootout after a very drab performance ten days later was decent but in the cold light of day it was still a draw in reality.

I would stick a couple of youngsters in and rotate too.

If a Styles or Molumby or Johnstone got injured tomorrow it would be a disaster for us I think. I don't see Williams starting because we need to give Imray minutes and they're in the same position.

Something like this. 4-2-3-1 and I'd take Bielek, Mowatt and maybe Wallace off half time or give them 60 mins max.

            Griffiths

            Imray
            Gilchrist
            Bielek
            Taylor

            Diakite
            Mowatt

            Wallace
            Whitwell
            Bostock

            Maja

Imray looked really awful vs Blues.

Indeed. He has yet to impress, but somewhat early days. One or disappointing fouls given away, having unnecessarily lost possession. (Furlongesq) Judgement reserved.

Furlong was way better than Imray, given performances so far. Another example of bringing in inferior player to the ones that we sold.

Rather than awful players for me it?s an awful coach without championship experience and experimenting, Taylor had been awful but for me v Blues he was immense! We need more pace in the middle and up front and love to see Bostock start. Wallace is good to bring on but FFS at 60 - I could run faster than him and he was in decline two years ago. Start Bostock and Maja today!

Be prepared Omeg for the local banter mate if we lose or go in hiding 😭😭

Fortunately, I'm not back at work until Tues night Al so hopefully they might have forgotten by then if it all goes sideways today-doubt it though!😞.

On the other hand, if we win...😁

Lucky you-I've almost forgotten what the sun looks like 😁

Anyhow, enjoy your break and let's hope for at least a spirited performance today and that Whitwell and Bostock get an outing!
