I campaigned alongside many of you, I considered many of you friends. I still do.
But after hearing Farage?s attacks on me today?
I simply do not believe that supporting the current Reform leadership is why you got into politics.
A party of Robert Jenrick - a man who has a track record of importing endless Afghans, spreading illegals around the country and expanding our vile migrant hotel industry.
A party of Nadhim Zahawi - someone who wanted to force that COVID vaccine on the healthy population against their will. He wanted to allow children to overrule their parents to get the jab. He proposed an illegal migrant amnesty, supported BLM, he argued that immigration is positive because it means Somalians in Britain can send money back to Somalia.
Really? Do you really want to campaign to put these people back into Government? The same people who decimated our country and ground it into dust? Along with the dozens of other failed Conservative MPs now wearing a turquoise rosette?
And Farage himself.
I once thought he was the man to lead us. I honestly did.
And then the Reform leadership tried to put me in prison. I would be there today if they had their way. Rotting away, possibly dead thanks to the Muslim gangs that now run our jails.
Why did they do it? He just admitted today that it was because I wanted to deport foreign rape gang members and their complicit family members. Not for the supposed crime, but for that.
They abused the justice system to imprison me because I wanted the mass deportation of animalistic savages who gang-raped young girls, and those who enabled it.
They tried to ruin my life because I advocated for that. To take me away from my family, my wife, my children, my grandchildren. Because I spoke of those deportations.
My family home was raided by armed police at 9pm on a Friday night because of what they did. Do you trust these people? Honestly?
If you agree with those actions, then Reform is the party for you.
If you want to build a better party, an honourable party, a decent party?
You now have a genuine alternative in Restore Britain.
We will not get everything right, mistakes will be made. But I will promise you one thing.
We will be honest, and we will do this honestly.
You are all very welcome to follow many friends and colleagues in your party who have made that choice already.Originally posted by regis80 View PostBaggieal/john if you stopped posting on this forum.. it would be dead. And yet you can't keep away from the place. Odd behaviour if it's so s hit. A bit like going to Rhyl or Barry Island for your holidays every year. Bet you've even got a time share on Anglesey. Not even the druids could defend Anglesey ffsOriginally posted by regis80 View PostBaggieal/john if you stopped posting on this forum.. it would be dead. Rupert Lowe is a rather hateful man and certainly both a racist and a hypocrite. Now that he is attempting to raise his own profile, he is trying to temper what he says to make him appear less obviously racist but it's a rather sh i te facade. Like Trump, he frequently spouts highly exaggerated claims as fact. A recent example is him claiming that 95% of all grooming gangs were Pakistani. Emily Maitlis pointed out that the data for 2023 showed some 22 Pakistani gangs and 224 white ones and asked whether he was exploiting such child abuses for his own political ends.
Lowe's rise to power (he now enjoys the support of Musk alongside the likes of Tommy Robinson) is based in no small measure to his initial popularity in his constituency of Great Yarmouth, one of the most deprived areas in the UK and a town I know quite well having worked and lived in the area for several years. I'll bore you with a quick bit of history:
Yarmouth has always been a migrant town even before the days of the female Scottish seasonal workers who used to flood the quaysides to gut and pack the herring in salt barrels for export abroad. Photographs from that period reveal the numerous masts of fishing boats looking like a dense forest spread across the docks of Yarmouth and Gorleston. Business was booming for some-though at the expense of their poorly paid/ poorly treated workers of course.
Social reforms that introduced holidays for workers and the development of railways then allowed the town to become a busy coastal resort as hotels, entertainments and, later, holiday camps sprung up but the impact of cheap flights abroad in the 60s saw a decline in this. Luckily, the discovery of North Sea oil help boost the local economy but the trouble was that Yarmouth didn't quite know whether it wanted to be a tourist town or an industrial one. As the oil industry declined, so did the town-big time. The closure of a local Birdseye plant amongst others didn't help.
In the 1990s the town's emptying guest houses were then used to accommodate asylum seekers from countries such as Kosovo, Russia, Kenya, Turkey and Afghanistan. Many were moved to the town from the London boroughs they originally settled in. There was little other support given to them by the government and their arrival further fuelled racial tensions.
The number of unemployed in the area swelled with many of the jobs in the area being poorly paid seasonal ones in agriculture or in food processing plants. Locals didn't want to do these and concerted efforts led to many EU nationals being recruited to fulfilling these vacancies using the EU freedom of movement rules. It's estimated that around 1 in 10 residents in Yarmouth were migrants from the EU at some point.
With poor access to housing, education and health alongside limited job opportunities and rising criminality it was the perfect breeding ground of discontent for Reform and Lowe to exploit with the subject of immigration being the usual handy tool of deflection. More recent investment in the seafront and road infrastructure have helped but high levels of deprivation remain and Lowe's popularity sadly continues. His support base is certainly not just amongst the poorer demographic however, but then if you look at many of Reform's leading figures you could hardly call them working class.
