Morrison still trying to go for it. No argument with Heggabo on and Wallace off and I understand that Imray is more of an attacking right back than Campbell but would feel better defensively with Campbell still on. The danger of going for it is leaving ourselves too open at the back but guess we don't have much choice with less than 10 mins left 😞

Bottom line, I think, is that Morrison had got them playing with more intent today and I didn't really disagree with his team selections either given our injuries but we simply do not have enough quality. We don't create enough and when we do, we fail to be clinical. We have no goal threat going forward and at the other end we consistently commit needless fouls that lead to handing the opposition free kicks in dangerous areas or else make stupid defensive mistakes. Can't defend, can't score and confidence is on the floor. Who can turn this lot around?
Now I need a drink followed by a dark room to lie down in..

Even though his tippy-tappy football drove us mad, at least Corberan got them well drilled defensively and we didn't concede so many needless goals. You won't win games if you don't score but, equally, you won't lose it you don't concede. It's likely been defensive errors that have put us in this position more than our lack of clinical finishing or failure to create.Originally posted by Bombers right foot View PostTo be honest, no manager on gods earth would get a tune out of this sad bunch of wasters, we?ve gone back to Corberan football, all tippy tappy passing creating f? all, at the end of the first half no urgency to get the ball in the box, just went sideways and backwards
Thankfully Bostock had a shot and chanced his arm, no other Albion player would have shot from there, it would have ended up going backwards
We just need the season to end
Given our glaring inability to score, the priority surely has to be to plug the leaks and end all the stupid defensive errors first and then hope that the freshness of Bostock might begin to rub off on our forward line?
With time running out though, any hope I had of avoiding relegation is fast ebbing away now 😞

It matters not who could be brought in as manager/head coach, the squad is very poor, no depth, and with injuries compounding the situation, we are in a serious scrap to stay up. Fortunately, Leicester, Blackburn and Oxford are also poor teams; it looks as if it will be very tight come the season’s end.

Bostock looked about the only one at the end upset with the result! Maja and Dike could not give a stuff!Originally posted by Omegstrat6 View PostEven though his tippy-tappy football drove us mad, at least Corberan got them well drilled defensively and we didn't concede so many needless goals. Surely, there must be some academy forwards that could be given a chance? They cannot be worse than Maja and Dike.Originally posted by baggieal View PostBostock looked about the only one at the end upset with the result! Maja and Dike could not give a stuff!
Anyway, Al, best wishes to you regarding your health issues.
