  • Mikey Johnston injury and Morrison's post match reaction.

As if things couldn't get any worse, the ankle injury to Mikey looks like it could see him out for some time. At least Ollie Bostock will get his chances now I suppose but had hoped to see both start for the remaining games.

Morrison was apparently quietly fuming in the press conference after the game and (rightly) scathing of many of the players, especially O'Leary, Bielik and Taylor for their defensive failures as well as the lack of both intent and creativity from the midfield and forwards. He had praise for Bostock and Mikey but no one else by all accounts which may be a bit harsh on the likes of Campbell and Styles. He had selected players he said he thought he could trust but most let him down in a game they knew was of massive importance and with results elsewhere going in our favour. Simply not good enough.

I did wonder what had happened to Mikey, I heard it was his ankle.
Thankfully all the other games went in our favour, but an opportunity lost.
This is going to be painful, week by week.
Not many options for Morrison really, most players get a game either starting or as subs so who knows what he will select next match

And it’s probably become a bit of a risky dilemma now. If Morrison and rightly so was fuming and let players know of their lack of effort .. now do we give Morrison one more game and see what reaction we get (meanwhile putting things right in training) or is it likely we get a new manager in.. and players continue in that same vain. Number of games are remaining - not great, but would sort of see unfair on mozza.

Bring in an experienced manager to work with him and I would take Megson!
