Heggebo whilst flat footed at least does try. Almost five million though - oh my god was that Nestor again!

Dike and Maja though - Jesus they are hard work, Thank the Lord when Dike leaves in June as a complete waste of space.

Surely we should look at trying one of our youngsters now. Can they be any worse than Dike and at best the future for next season?

I've really wanted Dike to do well given all his injury woes as he always seemed to come across as a decent fella with the right attitude. When he was recovering he chose to do much of his rehab and training here rather than back in the States so as to remain close to the group for example and under Mason, he was apparently chomping at the bit to get game time. Sadly, it hasn't panned out.

I don't doubt that he tried in the Sheffield game but -a few smart passes aside-he was largely ineffective both in and out of possession. The stats don't lie either-a mere 27 touches all game, only 6 passes in the opposition's half, lost the ball 11 times (Price seemed equally guilty of this) and won only 4 of 18 duels.

He wasn't the only one to struggle but Heggebo at least battled and held the ball up and Bostock obviously hasn't the experience yet. The concerning thing is that in his post match interview, Morrison said that he would like to have tried to keep Dike on for longer but that things needed freshening up and that he would need him for the games coming up. I can only assume that Morrison wants to continue playing two strikers rather than one (something I don't disagree with) and that he prefers Dike to Maja. Both have been poor but maybe Morrison sees Dike as being the more committed of the two and hopes that he will improve with more game time? If that's the case let's hope he is proven right!

If, by some small miracle, we do manage to avoid relegation the first two positions to fill when it comes to recruitment in the summer surely have to be a striker with proven goal scoring ability and a creative midfielder.
