  • Starmer Should Resign

So many embarrassing things coming out of the Mandelson files and only a complete unfit clown would have appointed him!

PM was made aware of Mandelson links to Russia, document shows
The document showing advice that was given to the prime minister over the appointment of Peter Mandelson as the UK's ambassador to the US reveals links to Russia.
A section titled "internet searches" highlights a Daily Mail article, which notes that Mandelson served as a non-executive director of the Russian conglomerate Sistema.
It is the majority shareholder of RTI, a defence technology company, which produced radar and satellite communications for Russia's land-based missile early warning system.
Its chairman was Yevgeny Primakov, an ally of Vladimir Putin and former Russian prime minister.
Sir Keir Starmer was told Mandelson remained on the board until June 2017, long after Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Mandleson wanted a 500K pay off and Starmer should have had the Cajones not to have agreed any pay off until this was debated by lawyers with a view of gross misconduct!

I don't recall this kind of vitriol from you aimed towards Boris Johnson when he was guilty of his many indiscretions. I remember you saying 'it's only cake'.

Why do you react differently to different people? Is it purely your political persuasion?

Boris was a clown but he was slammed for wine and cakes and come on most had garden bbq?s etc including footballers like Grealish. Starmer slammed him but nobody expects him to pay for a normal seat at the Emirates but he 100% should pay for corporate hospitality. Then there?s his best friend Ali and donor who provides a flat. Heard their friendship is strong! Then there?s lot of indiscretions like Reeves, Rayner defrauding the tax payer and now PETER. What a hypocritical s hit show and they slammed Johnston who yes was a clown but not so gutless as Starmer,

I frequently referred to Boris as a buffoon but I would have him as PM any day ahead of the utterly useless Starmer. Labour will leave this country in a far worse mess than when they took over; every Labour government we’ve ever had has always done that.

          Good grief.

You think the Tories left us in a rosy position when Starmer took over?

No, I didn’t say that; I am saying that despite the inadequacies of the Boris government, it was considerably better than Starmer’s shambles.

Boris Johnson missed 5 consecutive emergency COBRA meetings in the early stages about Covid. Then ran a government who oversaw some of the largest corrupt government contracts ever handed out, including contracts worth tens of millions to companies who were days old.

I struggle to see how anyone could look at Boris and think he was more competent than Starmer.

I don't disagree Starmer has made mistakes, he has. But to think the Tories were considerably better than this current Labour party is insane to me. And I don't think Labour are great by any means. I just think the Tories run under Boris Johnson were shambolic.

Let?s wait and see at the local elections in May whether there?s a love in for Starmer or most of the electorates think he?s a w Anker. Clearly in some areas Starmer will get the votes which he works overtime to get 😭

Labour inherited many problems left by the Tories but they will be judged on how they dealt with this. So far, it isn't going terribly well is it?

Whilst I do still believe that Starmer is not as bad as Boris in very many aspects, he still comes across as far too weak or inept as a leader and the architect of far too many of his own problems. The press in the UK is overwhelmingly on the right and so he was always going to be in for a tough ride but he certainly doesn't help himself with his inability to "read a room" or his numerous (and avoidable) U-turns. I believe he was perfectly right not to join Trump with the US/Israeli attack on Iran but his mis-handling of the whole Mandelson affair seems sadly typical of his failings.

Should he resign? I honestly don't know-mostly because of whom we are likely to get instead. At this stage Raynor might still get more votes from the party than Burnham. Talk about being "careful what you wish for"!

Bang on Omeg! Burnham comes across nicey nicey but he?s more left than Starmer. Rayner is not the sharpest tool in the box and cheated the tax payers with fraud.

Starmer said he would smash the illegal immigration gangs but immigration has got far worse. To her credit Mahmood seems to want to deal with illegal immigration but running scared about what the white lefties will say within the party. You can?t make it up!

U turns are a mess including not letting the US use our bases FFS and that delay with HMS Dragon leaving. I know very well what our lot in Cyprus feel about Starmer as a close family member is there in the RAF flying a typhoon.

Starmer admits he made the mistake with Mandleson. If this were a CEO of a large brand who had made a similar mistake then he would be out the door!

I do like listening to Question Time as Kemi runs rings around Starmer and she?s far brighter too, I bet there?s more in it with Starmer and Ali too !!!

I think Labour will get slaughtered.

People would rather vote for Farage who has done much more damage to this country than Starmer could ever hope to do.

But, which part of my post did you disagree with?

Nothing really but for me Starmer is far worse than Boris ever was including being gutless and weak. Corruption could be free corporate hospitality at the Emirates - a free flat from his dear friend Ali then why did he hire Mandleson? I am guessing there was more to it than just thinking ? Peter ? was a nice chap. More U turns than roads in Surrey and illegal immigration is far worse than it ever was. What happened to smashing the gangs? Even our armed forces think he?s a joke! You could go on about scrapping policies like the two child cap so those on benefits just got richer! The country is a mess.

Nobody would vote for Farage if illegal immigration was tackled but the country will go bankrupt eventually with that many entering. What next take illegals out of hotels so they get nice new council accommodation? Force them
to do community work like many lazy whites who have been claiming benefits for years. It?s almost better NOT to work for many than work for the minimum wage FFS.

Theyre both quite sh*t PMs for different reasons.

I still dont know what Farage will do with illegal migrants thats any different to Labour?

I find Reform to be all coat no knickers. Same on the council tax issue, which has gone up in Worcester and Derby despite stating they will gut councils to make them cheaper. Not to mention their u-turn on Iran.

You get one advantage being the opposition: which is that you can pretend you will do what you say and the ex failed tories of reform cant even do that!
