What a boring game, no atmosphere, loads of empty seats hardly any noise - Albion defending in numbers but they are letting soton attack them at will. Soton look far more likely to score, well that would be a surprise, we look miles off from scoring.

When we do attack you just know its going to amount to nowt

Was working last night so unable to either listen or watch the game but was able to check the scoreline from time to time so was gutted to see we conceded yet another late goal. As this site-as per normal lately 😡 -was totally inaccessible last night I'd read reports and comments elsewhere but wondered what others on here felt -if you can get on!

From what I had read, the consensus was that this was another much improved performance and a game we deserved to win. It was readily acknowledged that we still lacked quality going forward but that the effort and desire shown by all players was very much appreciated by the home fans. Whilst recognising their shortcomings, both Diakite and Dike were two players particularly singled out for praise by many.

Most felt that continuing the 4-4-2 was the right thing to do and that both Heggabo and Dike battled well to try and create. After a poor showing last Saturday, maybe Dike is beginning to show the side of him that Morrison clearly has some belief in? At least the desire seems there and it was two consecutive winning headers from him that created Molumby''s chance to score.

From what I'd read, most fans were happy with both the formation and (given our injury list) the team selection. Most were initially concerned at Gilchrist being used at CB, but he apparently stepped up and did well. Overall, Mozza seemed to have them well organised and playing with far more intent and if the subs weakened the side most acknowledged that they were needed at the time given we were starting to look leggy.

I know we are now one from bottom but there are 9 games to go with just one point separating us from the teams above. If we can iron out some of the poor decision making that helped lead to their goal, continue to show this kind of grit and determination and continue to improve on the quality and belief in our attacking play then we still have a chance of survival. Hull on Saturday will be massive but, given last night's performance, I'm sure the home fans will be well behind them.

Anyhow, those are my impressions of the game, if you can get on here 😲, what did others think?

As you say, it was impossible to get on this site last night. Something has to be done about this, and soon!

As for the game, they were the better side in the first half but we came into it and probably deserved to win in the end. Yet
another injury time goal conceded which has been our downfall this season. However, if we can continue the effort and commitment of the last two games we can get out of this mess. I am feeling a little more optomistic about our survival chances but it is going to be a tough ask.

Agree thought we battled. Extra praise for Imray, Diakite and surprisingly Dike and Wallace.

Poor to concede in last seconds and worryingly they could have got the winner.

Must be three points on Saturday

Good to hear other's thoughts on last night. Seems that the performance, whilst still lacking in some needed quality, was yet another improvement with all players showing some grit and fight, more attacking intent and better organization. Given the table and 9 games still to play, there is a chance that we might survive yet if this continues.

Many Saints fans commented that we should not be in the position we are in based on that performance but I think most of us know that already. We all know that whilst we lack quality across areas of the pitch this group of players should have been able to finish mid table at least. IMHO it was the appointment of Ramsay that hurt us most and spilt milk it may be but I cant help feeling that if the club had instead opted to allow Morrison his chance when Mason left we may not be where we are now. He is up against key players being out through injury and a relegation dog fight but he does seem to have them better organised, showing more attacking intent and desire. Playing round pegs in round holes helps too of course! Let's all hope that it isn't a case of too little, too late but it isn't over yet! As others have said, Saturday will be massive.

Makes you think what Morrison was doing under Ramsay if that?s true - whilst he didn?t call the shots I am sure he got his points across loud and clear.

Maybe Ramsay was affected so much by tunnel vision that Morrison was ignored?

Perhaps Ketts! If Morrison keeps us up then he will be in a strong position to get the job next season. If we get relegated then of course a new manager will need to come in regardless. To be fair there?s nothing in it at the bottom so there can be no excuses if we get relegated!
