  • Exciting Finish

Arsenal score in the last five minutes and West Ham equalise with second left. Then a VAR decision chalks the goal off. Definitely a foul though.

Arsenal will surely win the title now and West Ham relegated. Wow!

Either going down would be a shock, but I'm still kind of hoping it will be Spurs 😁

+1 (I imagine you also were hoping the Vile would beat them )

Evening Omeg and hope the weekend?s been a good one for you. As Leeds are now safe I can see Spurs winning tomorrow night then it?s almost curtains for West Ham,

Can't stand Ar senal at the best of times but if that was a foul on Raya then the game's gone. Arm across him, no pull, no push, didn't even jump for it and just fell down. Complete b@ll@x of a decision. Arteta and co can consider themselves very very lucky bunnies. 1-1 if I were the ref.

Ha ha - you can?t have a keeper around the neck in this day and age Dan but agree it was soft. West Ham could have argued two of their players were being pulled back too so a penalty to them.

Don?t like Arteta but like Pepe less and he?s a animal for constantly spitting - dirty b astard!

Nobody had him around the neck and your threshold for foul play is clearly a lot lower than mine Al'. Which is surprising when you consider the amount of more serious fouls being committed during that sequence of play. As for Ar senal every single set piece involving them is like all in wrestling meeting a rugby lineout.

Absolute farce. Arteta wasn't even calling for a foul on his keeper in the immediate aftermath of the goal. He was appealing for a handball and didn't even notice the so called foul on his keeper at the time. Total b@ll@x of a decision to go with any number of total b@ll@x decisions to have gone Ar senal's way this season.

PL need a London club to win this season. Only chance is Arsenal. At least it will be the last one for another 10 years.

                    Could not agree more!

And, Arsenal have been blocking the opponent?s goalie all season long, and have been wrestling, pulling arms, shirts etc too, and would never be top of the league if all those goals they have scored by bending the rules, had been ruled out.

Shocking decision, especially when you consider what?s continuously going on in the penalty areas unpunished.

Surely no-one would want Man City to win the title again?
So many charges against them and yet no outcome.
I prefer different teams winning the title rather than a monopoly like we have seen by certain teams over the last 3 decades.
I don't generally even watch premier league highlights and definitely not MOTD.
I would prefer Arsenal to win but it still doesn't seem a cerainty.
I'll be glad when it's all over so the football pundits can stop going on about it every day.
I'll be glad once the world cup starts so I don't have to hear about Arsenal and Man city all the time.

It would be more interesting if Spurs went down due to us playing them at a ground Albion have yet to play at.

In my opinion it was a foul and the correct decision was arrived at. I feel that many are saying that it was not a foul because of a dislike of Arsenal. There have been many more poor decisions than this one this season. Only my opinion though.

Morning LB. It's clearly a contentious issue. Whilst I respect your opinion on this and can see why they gave a foul I don't agree with VAR's interpretation when taken in the context of the passage of play. Trossard has a hold of Pablo who is jostling for space rather than trying to foul Raya who makes the most of the incident and doesn't even go for the ball. That's before looking at a possible penalty for West Ham.

Further to this when taking the game as a whole this was a nothing coming together. As for Ar senal my dislike of them is perfectly rational to me, but I can honestly say it didn't sway my opinion as the threshold was just too low as far as I'm concerned. The laws of the game are the laws of the game and they should be applied across all levels equally. If that constitutes foul play we wouldn't have a functioning English Football League.

Genuinely not overly fussed who actually wins this year's Premier League as both Ar senal and Manchester City have their down sides for me. I'm just grateful for the fact that Villa tailed off nicely. COYB and SOTV .
