Every time Man City is on TV like tonight you just see Pepe G spitting like an animal. What a dirty filthy w anker with kids watching.

It?s every few minutes and worse than any player!

Al, you and I cross swords often because we often have differing views, not always, we surprisingly do, on occasions have similar or the same views. I would like to think we are mature enough to back up what we post or least perhaps consider what we scribe before we press the submit button.

You have just made a statement regarding Pepe Guardiola and his particularly awful habit of spitting with “kids watching,” and I absolutely agree with you. Spitting in any form is disgusting. So I see your disgust, however, you then use phrases as above on a media platform which “kids” have access to.
Your phrase, “What a dirty filthy w anker with kids watching” is perhaps no less offensive than him spitting.

I hope you see this in the light it is intended. For me if you are going to to point out someone’s faults on a public forum which young people have access to, then how can one agree with such terminology compared to another’s behaviour.

Whilst I hear what you are saying kids do not come on this forum and never have. Every minute the guy has spit coming from his mouth and it?s disgusting. Sadly bad language is on the television now even very early evening and two of the same *** couples have tongues down each others throats so it?s a sign of the times. It?s wrong on prime time television which 100% kids will see like football.

Many posts contain language, politics or whatever and one poster especially is very funny at this. It would be a boring site if a couple just posted about footie which is why other posts get more engagement more times than not. Probably why the other site is considered dull.

You make some valid points Al. However, we do not know young people or females do not view this site no more than we know who is watching Guardiola and his filthy habit of spitting on to, albeit I understand there is likely many more watching tv than reading this site. We do have lady posters on here who play in Bombers prediction league but do not post generally and there might be a reason for that. We have had many female posters previously but all have disappeared for one reason or another.

I do see other posters using foul language on here, as you say, one does it to affect their humour and I get that.

I think same s ex couples is generally accepted these days so why keep it hidden from tv. It makes me laugh when I hear many men describing how they like to be invited to join in a lesbian relationship but detest two males having a relationship. (I digress) but I think you will see my point about double standards.

Back to the point. My point in my post iwas that fact you made a comment, rightly so in my mind, regarding Guardiola and his discussing and filthy habit of spitting but you then used inappropriate language to pen what you thought of it. It just made me smile as I suppose as I thought it was slightly hypocritical. I do not mean any malice by saying that it was just the first thing that came to mind.

😭😭. Pot kettle springs to mind where OB said last week - I quote - dislike of where they live.
It you don't like it here, emigrate, lots do. Join them and shut the #uck up blah blah.

Our Lloyd posted a good thread about Starmer a few days ago but if anybody does not like a political thread to add their views they can shut the f uck up too 😭😭. The Polanski thread received huge engagement as does other political threads but Wallace and our Dike only get the odd few comments 😂😂😂. Funny that.

Perhaps a drawing of if you do not like a thread just skip it! Back to Pepe - dirty f ucker and hope the wind blows it back right on his mush!

I would rather a young child hear the F word as you posted one a few days ago OB as long as they didn?t repeat it because it?s everywhere including at matches. I worked with gays all my life in travel and some great people but my point is children should not have to see two males swapping tongues before 10pm on television.

As for women many are worse than guys for using swear words in this day and age. It was actually my wife who saw Pep spitting and her words were - no wonder people don?t watch men?s football with that dirty t wat! She does not use bad language but her point was - this disgusting habit does not go on in women?s football. She?s right of course

Yes OB on the 9th May at 11.24pm. I was surprised to be honest as thought you had been drinking! But water off a ducks back for me but you clearly used the F word which was not great when numerous posters add to political threads and then you are calling me out for the use of language.

A once thriving football site. Can we get back to that. Political sites are available, move to them if you want to have a rant about what ever polical nonsense you love or dislike. Stop destroying what we once had, a football site for dedicated Baggies. This is a footymad site, not a political site for one to rant about their dislike of where they live.

Good night and sleep tight wherever you may be.
Yes I do recall it Al, thank you. Not my greatest moment on here perhaps but as I said previously sometimes the use of such language to force a point is acceptable and understandable. I think you will find I rarely use, on here or anywhere else, disgraceful language unless I believe it will enforce a point.

I like the way you quote me without putting the whole thread or at least putting it in the context it was written, the fact the your political ramblings spoil what is predominantly a football site did annoy me some.

Anyway, if you consider your persistent use of such language is acceptable then so be it. You do however often state this country is going to the dogs and part of that reason is it peoples use unacceptable language in public on social media etc, why, because it has not challenged and has become the norm. That should not make it acceptable though.

Fair enough! It was me a while back who suggested footie only but was told no and to skip what you did not like. Other subjects including political do get many engagements than footie which is sad but that?s life. Take the Polanski thread. Omeg loves contributing to these threads and to be honest whilst I have some differing views I love reading his responses and he?s clearly a bright guy.

Yes the country is going to the dogs OB and I love going to Spain - the real Spain with very few Brits to feel safe and not be ripped off. We are going to San Sebasti?n in August and never been there but heard it?s fantastic. I hope so,

San Sebasti?n is indeed a beautiful city you will love it I am sure. The beach is stunning and great for a dip, can get busy though. Tapas bars are plentiful. Enjoy.

We visit Spain often, mostly on business to be fair, though like you, my wife is English bit of Spanish descent through her Grandfather. Which thankfully allows us to continue with our life after Brexit.

As I mentioned last year we have a base in Malaga. We help an underprivileged family with a getaway annually. This year me and my good lady are not involved as our colleagues who were unable to fulfil doing it last year are going. I actually love doing it but it takes some arranging, so was happy to give it a swerve this year.

We are doing what someone mentioned on a holiday post last year, we are going through Scotland N.Irelend and the Republic of Ireland on a bit of a road trip. It is going to take around six weeks. Good old Grandparents will be holding fort while we’re gone. Looking forward to it, fingers crossed re the weather in Scotland and Ireland.

Malaga is a fantastic city. My youngest daughter is taking A Level Spanish and did a three week
Intensive language course in Malaga. She loved it.

Looking forward to San Sebasti?n but must be quite high end OB as all the hotels are really pricey. My oldest daughter is married to a nice lad whose father is Spanish and they are from Tenerife. The wedding over a year ago was fantastic as it was half in English and half in Spanish. With my background working in tourism
I am fluent in Spanish so all helps,

Good to see no issue guys.
As an older poster, in my embryo days, any non football post/thread was headed O/T. (Off Topic) To be fair, the post heading normally provides a clue in that regard!
Essentially, I prefer to avoid non footballing topics, as Politics, Religion etc opinions may quickly create significant personal differences which may create unnecessary, non recoverable differences.
Historically, many posters, when opportunities arose, took the opportunity to meet up. Friendships created…irrespective of individual stances.
I remember meeting an older poster Ardbaggie (I had formed an erroneous view of what he was like … skinhead maybe…handy with his fists…) what a mistake. Charming and very knowledgeable guy with a tremendous knowledge of Scotch…Ardbeg.
On our first meeting, he walked up to me as I was entering the Sportsman pub and said …you must be Prando….it appears my avatar is a giveaway
Different opinions are expected…no serious fallouts please…a meet-up whenever possible cements relationships.

Prando, I agree absolutely. We all have different opinions on so many subjects. Politics, religion and so many other aspects of life. We are all different. For example, I would not have a tattoo and I am not keen on them, however, when me and the good lady (SHMBO same difference to you good lady) were in a very tight spot a while ago, it was a person covered in such that came to our rescue. It wasn’t a major life or death thing, just a worrying moment which alas, we were absolutely most grateful for that persons assistance.

Life is such, and one should not judge a book by its cover. I wrote on here a long while ago about out neighbour of ours, a farmer. He laughed at me trying to cut some out of control grassed area on a sit on mower. He was, how can I say laughing at me and I saw why. We both stopped, chatted and now he keeps my hedges and boundary clear, and he uses the area of fields I struggled to keep sorted for his own use.

We live side by side and benefit from each other with the added blessing of a great relationship, albeit we are from very different backgrounds. I never thought I would actually drive a combine harvester but thanks to him (his nightmare) my dream come true.

I have no issue with others, I am perhaps just a bit prickly and perhaps want the world to be perfect. If only eh!
