  • England Manager

With a World Cup many want to fly flags and be patriotic but I don?t like a non English manager in charge. Thomas Tuchel Is German and speaks English with a German accent and does nothing to get you off your feet and bores many stupid.

For me the players on huge mega wages should play for England for the privilege and donate all their fees to charity. Likewise surely there must be an English manager who can be found to do a great job! As Tuchel done any better so far than Southgate? For me not!

Greed of the highest order again from players to ticket prices and no doubt a bulging amount of dirty money to Infantino.

I don’t think too much of the squad selection, certainly doesn’t make me look forward to watching any of it. Anyway, it’s arranged by FIFA so that’s a good enough reason for me not to have much of an interest. It’s Summer, not a season for football, pro cycling and cricket for me at this time of year.

I think we are quite far down the pecking order about 4th or 5th favourite and I think Tuchel is trying to make us a side based on physicality. He said he would in March. That probably makes us a dangerous underdog. I kind of get it as I dont think we are winning anything with Palmer or Foden, as good as they are.

I think its smart not to take 4-5 number 10s like we have before. Foden, Palmer, Bellingham, Eze and Rogers all going would mean we are constantly playing players outside of their best position.

However, a couple of selections are odd. Dan Burn and Henderson don't fill you with enthusiasm. Madueke is probably the oddest pick as he has been out of form for a while.

I would also rather us be managed by an English manager but I dont think there was anyone of Tuchels calibre at the time. I doubt there is now. The likes of Eddie Howe are not outwitting Ancellotti, Scaloni or Deschamps. Tuchel might.

True but Amorim was supposed to be the messiah and Carrick to his credit has done an unbelievable job with Champions League qualification and bringing on players like Maguire and Mainoo who were disregarded. Full credit and total respect to him!

As for England - I will be in the US at the time of the World Cup but rather enjoy the sights than watching that lot! At least there will be no fan violence over there because unlike this lawless country the cops over there will batter any trouble makers! Good!

Tuchel is a bit more seasoned than Amorim. He has managed in england won the champions league! I think he knows what he is doing. Doesnt mean we will win it though!

Carrick may have the same complications as Morrison next season, an interim becoming substantive. Both have done really well though and deserve the opportunities they have been given.

Excellent post Matt.feel the same.sick,of the press pile on every England manager..tuchell will be hammered unless we win it.yes theres a couple of players I would swap.definitely quansah and burn Henderson.i think the likes of garner Colwill braithwaite dowman will be in the 2028 euros..we have the players coming through now and will go deep in tournaments like we have done the last 8 years.st George?s park has been a great success so far..as far as this World Cup,I think we will get to quarters minimum..alas we won?t be winning it.
