  • Jatta - Notts County

Looks a decent strong striker and what a beautiful goal! None of ours would have taken it that well. On wages below 5K a week.

Like Asante who is now Premier League - these are the type of players worth a gamble. Not some dud with no end product on 25/30K a week!

Al, come on this is, somewhat nonsensical. You were not a fan of Asante and although you were praising Tom Fellows on his performance for Southampton a couple of weeks ago you were rather scathing of him when he was with us, and stated he was a one trick pony etc.

I give you credit where it is due, insomuch as there is nothing better than hindsight.

Most Baggies loved Asante and equally most loved Fellows. I am not looking to make odds but you found much fault with both. So for me I find it difficult how you use Asante and Fellows as subjects you applaud when they did not garner your appreciation when they were at West Bromwich Albion.

As I stated, I am not taking issue, I am just merely perplexed why the change of opinion when myself and so many Baggies saw their value, their commitment professionalism and skill.

    What has changed?

They are better players because of more talented players around them! Asante was no more of a lone striker with us than when CC played Jed in that position too. Stupid decision FFS!

I remember Caleb being slaughtered at Bournemouth in the cup for us but he?s been brilliant for Millwall. Why is that? Better players around him and a better manager!

That?s not to say they are premier quality because Fellows even though he?s good - he?s certainly no Harvey Barnes.

PS - I didn?t rate Furlong but he looks good in the Ipswich team because there?s more quality.

      Get the drift!

Honestly Al, no I do not get the drift. I think you may have missed the point.

Asante and Fellows were two very good players for us. Most fans or supporters saw this and certainly did not want either to leave the club because it was clear they were good. You see how good they are now that they have left our club but you obviously, shown by your numerous negative posts regarding them, did not rate them. That is fair enough, I get you did not rate them, that was your personal opinion. However, most Baggies did rate them and that Al, put you in a small minority.

They had talent, it is as simple as that. They may flourish with a different club or manager but they as likely would have flourished at West Brom. It is so easy to say they play in teams with better players around them or play for coaches who are better than what we have. Perhaps you are right but most Baggies saw they had a talent when you did not. That was my point, most saw what talent they had and you did not. The talent was always there but you clearly failed to see it.

It was not having a go at you, it’s not persona. I was making the point that you have changed your mind regarding both of them. I was just pointing out that you were not impressed when most were and in both cases to date, most were right.

I rated Bartley and stuck up for him and said Diangana would make it in a quality team. Others hammered them!

That?s what views are all about! I would give more minutes to Williams and Sule but many say they are not ready. Maybe a club like Millwall will think they are more than ready!

            Dear On Balance?

?Chimpanzees have an average short-term memory span of about 20 seconds. Research has shown that chimpanzees forget an event within seconds?

I?m 100% BaggieAl shares the same genes of a chimpanzee. Hope that clears everything.

Apparently the science has dispelled that myth AlbionicAl.

Lose an argument to a little shortie s hit like you who sits in the Brummie - nah! Watch you don?t press the wrong key with one of your other aliases because you?re not the sharpest tool.

The way the thread was heading it was so obvious the alias Grey Horse from Woodhouses would come on! I was waiting for it 😂.

Come on, we are all adults I presume. I have been on the end of much abusive and assaulting posts but in the past without retailing to much.

We surely can have differences in opinions and yes I see some change in mindset happens, however let?s keep it clean without delving into to a gutter and respect another’s posts. You do not have to agree with another poster but if they substantiate what they state with substantial knowledge or evidence then let it be rather than perpetually forcing the issue.

Some do some don’t. We are all Baggies after all, we just may not always agree.

Shall we pause for a moment.

Morning all...... turned out nice again. Enjoy the sunshine everyone as it'll be raining for days on end shortly. Still, at least the grass will get a drink out of it so there is that 😎 .
