  • Grant and Maja

Anyone know the latest! You would have thought they would have been given a couple of weeks max to accept or decline any offer so the club can move forwards.

Honestly don?t think the majority would be bothered either way but an answer would be nice!

Rather take a gamble on Maja out of the two personally but both injury prone.

Hopefully the Club have evaluated their strengths/weaknesses vis a vis potential new prospects and the latter overall contractual costs.
Clearly there is a bit of ‘the devil you know’ inevitably being considered. Delays will be down to their Agents.

For me Prando there should be a deadline to accept or decline. For sure their Agents will be touting around for a better deal elsewhere.

Not many care either way if they stay or go! More interested in Campbell staying and signing Imray!

I imagine the club have given them a deadline - perhaps by the end of May. And they're punting themselves around to other clubs to see if they can get a better offer elsewhere.

Like you, would prefer Maja over Grant. But wouldn't be overly fussed if both left. We just need to recruit well so we bring players in who are an improvement on them.

If that?s the case presume after June when out of contract - there will be no fee so he can just choose the best wage versus length of new contract?

I guess like most they will follow the scent of money.

There is little loyalty in football these days.

I personally do not mind if either left if their heart is not in it.

Read a rumour a couple of weeks ago which suggested Grant was in talks with Cardiff. Rumours suggesting Maja is spending the whole summer wrapped in cotton wool are believed to have boosted shares in cotton wool. Lump on 😎 .

Evening Dan. Rather have Maja than Heggebo who knows where the net is but it?s keeping him fit. Never going to happen.

Grant our 15 million superstar - who cares! If another club pays Grant or Wallace anything like we paid them - good luck with that! I hope his revised offer was a 50% reduction in salary to reflect his worth!

I feel both Grant and Maja could do a good job for us next year, however, it is time to move on, over the next two seasons we need to phase out players like Grant, Maja, Mowett, Gilchrist and Mepham,
Morrison and the recruitment dept have a huge job on their hands building a side that can compete for a top ten finish, let?s hope Mr Patel has the funds

As some on here have opined, it’s not so much the funds that are available but the quality of the recruitment; we have spent quite big in the past, e.g. Grant, and it wasn’t the most successful of signings.

Grimes one of the best Cov players cost 3.5 million so divide that into what we paid for Grant and the answer will be holy f uck 😭😭😭
