  • World cup opening ceremony in Mexico

    Watching the program on ITV.
Just talking in the studio at the moment.
The view from the ITV studio looks stunning across to manhattan Island.
The pundits look a bit dodgy to me, some Americans who I don't know other than man versus food.
Seems Gary Neville has been signed up also, I don't usually see him on TV but will be on ITV.

I won’t be watching, not in the least bit interested. I have a can of paint somewhere in the garage, I think I’ll find a fence to paint and then watch it dry.

Wolves should sign him. At least he will feel at home in Wolverhampton!

Loads of empty seats in the South Korea match. Pure greed with ticket prices!

Didn't fancy watching the opening ceremony last night so I didn't tune in until two minutes before kickoff. Problem solved. Onto the game itself. I hadn't slept very well the night before and I was feeling a little tired. Another problem solved. They should get me to work for the World Health Organisation. I could solve world hunger in the long blink of fan eye. Maybe. Whilst I think about it get me Putin and Zelensky on line one. I hear they have a little problem which requires my very likely divided attention. Remember folks, if a problem needs solving solve it. If not you could just procrastinate. Like me .

But Keir says there are no problems! It was the fault of the Far Right they lost on penalties 😂

If we're going to take this thread off topic can we steer clear of politics and talk about something interesting please? Such as do you keep getting pictures of scantily clad young ladies popping out all over your screen? Or adverts for older adult dating sites? Or links to information about upcoming essential rule changes to your pension? Or have you just downloaded Ad B lock instead ?

I'm sure I heard one of the pundits on the TV (or perhaps the radio) that there are 2 opening ceremonies though I would have thought logically it should be 3. Infantano was at both games so far (as the TV love to show his mug shot). Saw a shot of Roberto Bggio behind him and he looks well old.

It is three opening ceremonies SG. One for each country. So I would imagine there will also be three closing ceremonies. Lots and lots of advertising space to go along with whatever ads they're showing in America, Mexico and Canada during the drinks breaks. If indeed they are showing adverts during the drinks breaks that is. Baggio did look awful tbf, at the same time Infantano has never been seen in the same room as a hard boiled egg. Allegedly. The self serving toss off.

Ps. I will NOT be watching the opening ceremony for the United States at 00:35hrs. And I most definitely will not be staying up to watch their game versus Paraguay which kicks off at 02:00hrs either. Bu gg er that.

Infantano has to be the most ironic name for the President of FIFA. Couldn't make it up
