Well, I wish him, being an ex Baggie of course I do.

But I am sure many Aberdeen fans will be most disappointed. I think I would be. Money must be a magnet and I get that. He has however done so well at all his clubs, particularly Aberdeen, where I think they were robbed of their Premiership title by that dubious late penalty decision.

Still, as I say, best of luck to him.

Derek is at Hearts and left Aberdeen over five years ago FFS.

PS - for any avoidance of doubt Asante plays for Coventry 😭😭😭😭

BBC Sport still says the Rangers job is between Gerrard and McInnes, nothing about a deal being done. Maybe the BBC are too focused on that supposedly football event going on in Trumpland?

You could be right KB. Re McInnes, i feel I should apologise to all for my stupidity. As Al pointed out to me he is at Hearts not Aberdeen. School boy error on my behalf. I thank Baggieal though, for correcting me so subtly on the other thread.

Regarding Trumpland, I was in a nice country pub in Worcester last night and was chatting to a couple from the West Country. They said they were not as excited about the World Cup as they had been in other years. I said nothing other than many felt the same to which the husband replied, “it likely has something to do with it partly being held in the USA.” There does appear there is a very anti American sentiment out there at present.
