  • Contempt Yet Again

Clearly many of the Tory party members and the General Public do not want Sunak as PM. Truss got in let’s face it because people didn’t want Sunak!

Shocking how the MP’S can decide the vote if Mordaunt does not get the 100 votes and it does not go before the party members. Is that democratic?

Without doubt there should be a general election!

So it looks like a shyster whose Mrs does not pay many taxes will become the PM by default!

No wonder politics is in the gutter! Watch out for the rich to be protected and those suffering hammered even more!!

    You’re not correct.

The super rich will be protected whereas the people like you and me who’ve worked hard all of our lives and the supposedly “comfortable” middle class will get absolutely rinsed.

That’s what I meant to say and your 100% right!

Should be a general election! All these corrupt c unts called MP’S cozying up to Sunak now - even Zahawi FFS!! I bet Putin’s pleased and Sunak’s mrs will look forward to starting her financial interests there again - she’s strapped for a few million!!

If all the MPs who were supposedly backing bobo switched to Mourdant then the membership can still reject that shyster Sunak.

Those MP’S will cozy up to the person who they think will be a cert to win ( Sunak ) to be a creep in the hope of being in the cabinet!! Such a stitch up as if it went to the party members then Mordaunt would have a great chance!

Unfortunately Mick you can't win no matter who you vote for .

The Labour Party aren't going to go after the wealth from what I've read , well they are but not to the degree that's going to change a right lot .

This country is utterly fecked unless someone develops a pair and goes after the wealth .

The super rich will take it all .

If the choice of Sunak or Mordaunt went to the party membership then I think it’s likely that we would have PM as PM. It will be Sunak, though.

Not too sure why you think Tory members should choose the next PM. They have proved they have terrible judgement, they chose possibly the two worst prime ministers we’ve ever had the last two times they’ve had the opportunity.

                  Most Tory members are clueless.

I mostly disagree with this. This is why Corbyn didn’t get in. Targeting the rich doesn’t increase the overall wealth and GDP in this country. Business growth does that. That’s why Brexit is such a disaster for us.

I’d rather vote for a party with a clear plan on growth and willing to rejoin the EU.

Just ‘tax the rich’ doesn’t really make the country better off. The very richest will find ways around it or move abroad anyway. We have to become global leaders in future growth industries, so that the next generation or two will benefit from high skilled and high paying jobs.

Unfortunately we have a naive electorate and (mostly Tory) politicians who think only about themselves, their PR, how they are going to get back into power at the next election. Any thought for the next generations are very low down on the priority list.

Oh when we start marketing it that’s when we can judge it Al. So far not had that chance. I’m being patient with it.

Anyway, the point i’m also making here is surely NZ is not a great move for Reform. and again proves my point of Reform just a rebrand of the Tory party. A lot of people and a lot, are waking up to the antics of reform and what is happening in the states. Copycat of politics over there won’t necessarily work here and that’s what they are doing, copying. We forget how much tories caused and now Starmer - and we really think reform are the saviours?

I don?t vote Regis but the proof of the pudding will be in the next election and judging by all the local council elections being cancelled Labour are running scared. As for the States ( we have work interests there ) Trump has lost some popularity but it?s still double than Starmers. What does that say?

To be honest, if there was a General Election tomorrow I would not have a clue who I would vote for. I have little faith in any of the parties. It appears to me that common sense and the obvious is something that is completely lacking in politicians. There maybe be the odd one or two with ability who who can be trusted but too many are in politics for what they can get out of it and not for what is best for us as a nation.

The country is in a mess and we appear to have very few who are capable and have the will to get us out of it. An extremely sad state of affairs.
