I think his contract is not up until 2027 Soulman. He signed a new contract on the 26 January 2024.

His lack of form is likely due to all the speculation surrounding a move.

I wish him all the best. He will come back to haunt us I?m sure.

Great player with even more potential. Absolutely loved watching him.

Having already improved our finances this window, I cannot see us being open to sell Fellows unless we at least have a replacement in our sights-but the moot points will be whether we can actually sign them and, if we can, whether that incoming player can come close to matching Tom's ability-and his 14 assists.....

Money or not, I think we may rue this particular decision.

What I do not understand is his move to Southampton. A Premier league side, yes, but to a side with no better chance of promotion than us? A bit like Palmers move to Ipswich, unless it is money of course. Should keep him in my opinion.

I think weve had rose tinted glasses around Fellows value due to being home grown. He is a good player but limited. Those limitations mean he was never going to the premier league and not one of the best in the league.

He doesnt really excite me to be honest. Id love it if we went abroad and used our last ESC slot on a real game changer.

The bargains we have bought since Bilkul came in suggests we should trust their judgement.
I think there is still a high ceiling on him because we don't know what he can do in the premier league as we haven't seen him play there yet. If he can beat a full back in the prem and deliver a cross he's worth a lot more than £8m or whatever that fee is.

Having said all of that, outside of this transfer we are having a good window. And I do trust those at the club now more than ever since the Dan Ashworth days.

Earlier I read/heard on the E&S site that Fellows was at the training ground this morning and the manager in the press conference wouldn't say if he was in the match day squad. Its not a done deal as yet

Birmingham Live reporting the same. Mason is being understandably tight lipped about it-"he is in the building" and still part of the squad and in contention for the Stoke game. Whether or not he will still be with us when the transfer window closes at 7pm on Monday he doesn't know.

All a bit odd given that the deal was reported to be finalized and he supposedly travelled down for a medical but certainly won't be unhappy if we manage to keep him.

Tom Fellows is looking forward to stretching Sky Bet Championship defences in Southampton colours after swapping the navy and white stripes of West Bromwich Albion for the red and white of Saints.

I could be wrong but I dont recall him ever having a great game against a top championship side. He tends to go missing against decent full backs. Premier league defenders would have him on toast in my opinion.

I would feel more strongly about the low price if this was a bloke we strongly relied on like Perreira who we played through.

I might be understating his importance and it all comes down to the replacement, but I don’t think it’s a gross decision from the club.

Fellows is an excellent Championship standard player, a bit of a one trick pony at times, I hope he does well at Southampton, apparently ( whether this is true or not) both Fellows and Furlong moved because they wanted in time to play in the Premiership ( so we don?t?), best of luck with that as neither are good enough
