After the January window when we turned down Everton , I think his head was turned and his agent pushed for the move .
Hope he does well and the Saints miss out on promotion and gets sold on to a proper club and we get a cut .

Half expected Fellows to move, but to Southampton. Do not get it!

Tom was level headed, drove a Ford Fiesta came from a good family .
We turned a down a bid from Everton in January and maybe I'm wrong but It is in his agent's interest to get a move .

I agree with others that he often isn't consistent enough and can be ineffectual in games, but I still think he has potential to improve further and 14 assists is a very decent contribution so am sad to see him go.

The fee is less than I would have anticipated and Southampton seems an odd choice but wish him all the best. Now let's see who the club have lined up as a replacement.

This is one we will regret, both for the loss of a talented young player and the potential of a greater fee. There is a lot more to come from him.

Still, needs must. All the best young man and thank you. You will be a big miss to us. That is my opinion from watching him over the last few seasons, mostly home, but quite a few away games too.

Like others have said, he is a good prospect and his assists are clear to see, but he has a way to go and personally think he is lacking the required pace to excel on the prem.

I wish him well and he will be missed but like other sales we should be ready ro replace him, or how food is Ollie Bostock? Is he left sided?

Hoping Collyer gets a start today.

Personally I think that this sale is a great bit of business for the club. I know that I have said it before, but I think Tom is a bit of a one trick pony with his stepovers and his finishing is not the best. Ever since Everton came sniffing in January, his form has taken a dip and maybe it is the right time for him personally to have a change of scenery. Good luck to the lad.

In his Southampton interview there was the usual joining a massive club. He also said that he was joining a team with ambition to be in the Premier league. Utter cobblers. We are a massive club and we are ambitious to get into the Premier. All this c r a p and hype.

It was amusing to hear him say those things, but its what the fanbase want to hear so thats what you tell them.

Shallow though. I agree, its partly scripted.

All our acquisitions do exactly the same with their first interviews on the official Albion site. Don't think too many are fooled by it all tbh. What matters is how they perform on the pitch and their commitment.

As for Tom, he did look a trifle uncomfortable doing his Saints interview but don't know if you can read too much into that. Anyhow, I wish him well and hope he can develop his potential -just as long as he isn't at his best when we play them 😁

Have to admit I have stopped reading the 1st interview of players who come to our club, its what they do on the pitch that matters.
Youtube decided I should view the Fellows interview so I watched it.
Haven't looked for ones from taylor or furlong
