I had no idea that there is a Remembrance Garden accessible from the East Stand car park. ( As shown in the opening few minutes of the link)

Looking forward to the additional atmosphere that the 125 anniversary will create.

We love walking around the remembrance garden, it does bring one’s own mortality into perspective and makes you think about all those souls who have loved going to the Hawthorns or just following the great club through the ages.

                  Indeed.
There has been the occasional get-together of people from this WBA forum, following the passing away of a fellow poster.
A number will remember Lincsbaggie who sadly passed away, on New Year?s Day, some years ago. We arranged a photo shoot holding a poster mentioning Lincs and sent it to the family. About half a dozen of us went to his funeral and, by arrangement with his family, put a number of WBA items on top of his coffin ?scarf, cap etc.
For a couple of years afterwards, we would meet up at the nearest home match at the beginning of the new year, pre kick off, behind his seat. I seem to remember members of his family also attending.
                  RIP Lincs buddy.

I didn?t even know the garden was there but what a fantastic place to pay respects.

I do remember some 40 years ago when there was the big hill and slope and at the bottom was the club house and the huge car park. Whatever became of that land where the car park was or was it all levelled out when the East Stand was built?
