As one of the comments said, it's refreshing to have this degree of clarity and transparency at last so that fans can better understand the reasons behind certain moves as well as understand the aims of the club.
Data isn't everything but Nestor's use of it in conjunction with the scouting team and human element seems to have largely worked so far. He mentioned Bany as one of the key players identified by the game model though-let's just hope that when he has recovered from injury he can prove as successful as other recent targets have been!
Interesting to learn that any rumours about Everton offering £15 m for Tom were well wide of the mark and that S'hampton made the best offer. Good result for the club in terms of PSR and I hope he does well with them but somehow doubt that Tom would not have preferred a different destination had a suitable offer been made.

The amount for Tom was less than we would have hoped but still say he?s a good player but not Premier. He?s was very average before the move and Mikey much more exciting and a game changer for me,Originally posted by Omegstrat6 View PostThanks for posting 👍

I really liked Tom but agree that - despite his number of assists- he was too often quite ineffectual in games. Other clubs expressing interest would surely have thought the same, hence S'hampton being the only club to put in a good bid.Originally posted by baggieal View PostThe amount for Tom was less than we would have hoped but still say he?s a good player but not Premier. I still think he has potential to improve and you have to factor that into any asking price, but would any on here have paid £10m for him, let alone more than that, if he was at another club and we were interested?
Hope Iling does well for us, but he is only a loan player so hopefully we will be in a position to replace Fellows with a more permanent solution for the following season.

Couldn?t agree more Omeg! Very predictable player and then you look at Mikey on his day - he can turn players inside and out.
Good business for me. Credit where credit is due - the club have done brilliant in this transfer window. Getting rid of Furlong for 4 million was unbelievable business as never rated him. Honestly think Griffiths will gain more confidence too with a more solid defence in front of him.
