  • See you on the other side?

    Hi all,

Having hardly been on the site for a week i can confirm my stress levels have reduced, as well as anxiety and cortisol too!

In all seriousness though, the new site set up is a breeze compared to this but now we have another issue... we have a split with some staying and others happy to try the new one.

The link is https://baggiesforum.co.uk/, you will also welcome new posters as well as posters of old too!

I would at least ask you to try it and see what you think, its free and takes but two minutes to set up.

Hopefully see you there, I for one am going to struggle to come back to posting on here but would love you to join something better!

The site has improved a lot Steve and personally I have had no issues. Some don?t like change and Bomber puts in a lot of time on the match predictions which is appreciated. Incidentally, Phil who used to do the match predictions didn?t get a response from the new site. Nothing is perfect in life.

Everyone to their own I guess! Best wishes to the new site though.

I had the no-response problem too. That was when using Firefox. I switched to Edge (aka Chrome) and it worked a treat, so it may be a browser compatibility issue -- or it may just be a coincidence. Of course, now I'm "in" I can't repeat the experiment, but it would be interesting if other folk having problems trying to sign up could try other browsers and see if there's a pattern here.

No issue with people on two sites but remember many on here have been here for donkeys years unlike some posters who go missing for months. Posts saying goodbye Footymad don?t exactly encourage people to leave and at the end of the day it?s all personal choice.

I can?t be bothered to move but that said the next person might or again dabble on two sites or even the other West Brom forum too. Everyone to their own

Hey Al, I don't think there was anything wrong with the title of that thread - if anything it's just echoing the frustrations so many on here have been having and have been crying out for a new site. You really should give the site a try mate, it will make such a difference to your experience - trust me. I know I might be sounding bias, but I think you will.

The issues you mention re: Phil that got resolved immediately, just the response was mad on a different thread. With that said, we have about 50 registrations with handful having encountered some issues. These are those with gmail or yahoo - this is a known issue for so many sites that need registrations. I had this matter solved but there's unusual reason why it's happened to some users. I've therefore manually activated those accounts.

Nobody needs to leave this site, but using both would be encouraged and there's no harm testing the new one.

Bomber - if there's anything you want me to do to help carry over the prediction league - I'm more than happy to help and get the initial bit out the way to allow you to continue as normal going forward. Let me know

I decided to sign up for the new site to see how it goes but will continue to use this one when applicable.
I'll admit that with this old site if I stay signed in then I have no problems posting but it is a pain when having to log in twice to post a message.
The new site keeps me signed in by default.

If your having a bad day you could always post on all sites including BoingBoing Baggies:

                Starmer is a w anker

At least you could get it off your chest!

I?ve nothing against the new site ( I wish you well) but I will be staying on here doing the Prediction League until it grinds to a halt, if you want to start one of your own then so be it, good luck with the new forum
