We all agree the new transfer window was a decent one so after yesterday - it would be nice to see more of Collyer and Alfie. Alfie was highly regarded at Chelsea but not had a look in. Very odd.

Mowatt and Molumby together does not work for me and have said this for a long time. There?s zero pace or creativity. Starting Wallace is like playing with 10 men and even though Junior had minutes yesterday you can see his pace and ability to beat players.

Styles needs a go in midfield for me which is his natural position. In defence whilst he works hard he gives the ball away too much and you worry about him conceding a penalty.

Maja must start even if he tires and comes off

Yesterdays match was very similar to the way the cup match went and many would say we should have learnt from the cup match. Unlocking a set up like Derby?s especially in the first half requires pace and creativity.

Mason must learn from yesterday and make a few changes otherwise can see us getting badly beat at Boro.

Having watched all of our games so far it?s plainly obvious that the team needs tinkering with
    Griffiths or Wildsmith? Griffiths
    Campbell or Gilchrist ?.Gilchrist
    Styles or Taylor????.Taylor
    Mepham???????.Mephem
    Phillips????????Phillips
    Mowatt or Styles???..Styles
    Molumby or Diakite???Molumby
    Johnston??.,?????.Johnston
    Price?????????..Price
    Grant or Junior?????.Grant
    Heggebo or Maja????.Maja

Defensively Campbell is good but Gilchrist (based on Sheff Utd) offers more going forward

Taylor is a natural left back , Styles plays in midfield for Hungary and is better that Mowatt

Maja is a goal scorer , Heggebo is not

Junior is an impact sub, Grant is better defensively
I think this is a more balanced side

Good points there Bomber. Eustace certainly outsmarted Mason yesterday as you would have thought we would have learnt from the cup game how to unlock Derby. We learnt not a lot and you always knew after the first half they would get the killer goal!

Much to agree with there bomber! As we don't have many great players who are also consistent, as both Nestor and Mason have frequently said, it's important to have a decent shadow squad to give options to cover injuries, drops in form or to better suit particular opponents. I think we are far better placed in this respect this season so can see some of the changes you mention happening.

Until we can recruit a better GK, Griffiths above Wildsmith seems a no- brainer. I like our new defensive players, particularly Phillips and Mepham and Campbell has settled in well and much better than I anticipated but can't disagree with your comment about his forward play. I'm sure he will improve on this but currently looks a bit uncomfortable and hesitant doing so. The question is whether Gilchrist is better in both the defensive and attacking areas of his game?

As for midfield, I too would like to see Styles play there in place of Mowatt as he does for his country and having Taylor should now allow that. Presently, Molumby is doing well but think that both he and Diakite may share selection depending on the opposition or how games pan out as I feel Diakite may offer more creativity.

Price is a great talent but, rather like Fellows, can also be largely ineffective at times but would still start him and sub if needed. Illing Junior definitely has more pace and creativity to offer than Wallace so would start him on the right wing with Mikey on the left but think Grant will still get a look in depending on the performance of either and whilst not as creative as them, he has a great work rate and is better defensively. We also still have Bany to come back from injury of course. Apparently he fitted the profile of the club's game model so maybe he can finally get to prove himself.

I really like aspects of Heggebo's game, he is strong and holds the ball up well but Maja has proven in the past that he is more likely to actually put the ball in the back of the net. For this reason alone, I agree that he should start but am sure that Heggebo will still get his game time.

Agree Omeg and especially about Price - he was ineffective yesterday!
