  • Russell Hoult

Blood made a very good point on a post - it seems that a legend like Hoult with terminal
    Illness has been forgotten.

Poor from our club! Yesterday v Derby was the perfect example on the big screen to extend our best wishes to Russell. Both sets of supporters would have given a huge round of applause because Derby supporters loved him too, Where was the invitation to Russell?s kids to come to the match? Have the club given a donation to the Go Fund Me page below? Shockingly poor from our club in my opinion!

    Story

This isn?t an easy post to write, but we feel it?s important to share our story.

In September 2023, our amazing dad, Russell Hoult, was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). Almost a year later, in August 2024, we received the devastating news that he also has Stage 4 Bile Duct Cancer (Cholangiocarcinoma). Most recently, we?ve been told that both conditions are terminal, and Dad is now receiving palliative care ? something that?s incredibly hard for us as a family to come to terms with.

Agree, and am surprised that the club have seemingly not done more, but then we may not be privy to what they have done? As for the big screen tributes, these only seem to be done posthumously.
