New Kit

Just had a look at it, the Stoke Kit. It is absolutely shocking. God forbid ours is anything like that.

Think they got this just about right, especially for the season in which we celebrate 125 years. The shirt recalls heritage kits but with a more modern twist with the way in which the front stripes meet the neck and shoulder lines. Like Bomber, I would have preferred the classic white socks but the blue are OK and for me somehow give the kit a more traditional feel. Anyhow, a far better kit for the coming season than some that other clubs have so far revealed!

It's a decent enough top which will look far better on a professional football player than it will on me so my money's staying where it is. Those Macron sizings are bloody ridiculous though, I'd end up looking like I was wearing a sodding mini dress 😃 😀.

I still wear the retro shirt?or occasionally an older one with Sandwell as the sponsor.
Whilst I have no intention of buying one for myself, I may consider one as a present ? but do not want the sponsors name on it.
Does anyone know is that available ? (Not immediately apparent from the website)

I have just seen Stokes kit. What a disaster! I just hope that our kit is not the same design. What is wrong with plain navy and white vertical stripes?

Apparently the kit was chosen after extensive fan involvement. 🙄 says a lot. Perhaps most of them were drunk and couldnt draw a straight line.

Regarding the first part of your post, I'm sadly with you on this 68- though maybe for a slightly different reason! I'm in the (very slow!) process of losing some of the, er, "timber" I've built up over recent decades so regardless of Macron's sizings its not going to be a good look on me. I'm at that annoying stage where many shirts are either still too short as they have to circumnavigate the belly or else make me look like I'm wearing a tent if I go up a size
