God knows why he?s got involved in the proposed administration for the Palestinians. He took us to an unnecessary war in neighbouring Iraq and Cherie?s got a nice bank balance of human rights cases. You would have thought such wealth at his age would ensure he was under radar!

PS - the t wat also introduced the crippling uni fees placing our younger generation into financial difficulties!

Blair did achieve some good things during his tenure which oversaw the introduction of a Minimum Wage, enhancing LGBT rights and other social policies that helped halve child poverty in the country and improved the lives of our poorest pensioners. On the other hand, I disagreed with quite a lot of other stuff he did, from getting us involved in Iraq on the back of dodgy intel to the creation of NHS Trusts and the belief that simply enabling and encouraging as many kids as possible to go to into higher education would be a good thing in itself. Aside from the issue of student loans (the majority of which will never be fully paid back in any case) I disagreed with his other educational reforms which took too much power away from LEAs. Privatization, does not necessarily guarantee better services.

However smarmy he comes across at times, it would still be unfair not to recognize his abilities as a mediator though and he was instrumental in achieving the Good Friday Agreement for example. He has spent 8 plus years trying to bring a resolution to the long running Israel/Palestine issue so does have a knowledge of the complexities of the situation. Divisive he may be but he does have some qualifications for the role-if it ever comes about of course. Trump, as normal, exaggerates his master 21 point plan in order to position himself for the Nobel Prize he is so keen on but the reality is that his plan is actually quite vague and, whilst it might be a potential step in the right direction, it in no way guarantees a peaceful resolution.

Never trust a man who resembles a horned viper. Rumour has it Tony Blair has never ever been seen in the same room as a horned viper. Just saying 😉.

Blair was also the idiot who disliked competitiveness or selectiveness in schools so he scrapped the old selective 11+ grammar school system. What a tool. Bright kids should thrive with like minded individuals as promising young footballers should thrive in academies etc. The least said about Cherie the better!

Too many university courses which are meaningless so students will never pay the debt back because they may not earn over the pay back threshold. That said it?s not fair why those who go to good universities who mostly will land highly paid careers are walloped with sky high interest charges.
