Disgusting how they have been banned from Vile and this will further fuel antisemitism. Pathetic decision. Who is this to please?

What next law abiding Jewish people not allowed into football grounds?

Ayoub Khan, the independent MP for Birmingham Perry Barr, said he welcomed the news that Maccabi Tel Aviv fans would "not be permitted to watch the match at Aston Villa".

      Police decision.
No doubt there would be protests and so police keeping life easy for themselves.
I heard from a mate that at the Millwall match v Albion that Police were brought in from Northern Ireland to police the game due to the level of protests in London re: gaza.

That?s the point though Stargazer as it does nothing for our Jewish community. Never heard a police decision to stop a Gaza protest which happens almost weekly where damage is caused and police get hurt. That?s different though and we are talking far larger numbers. Many oppose these protests including local businesses and of course tax payers as it?s costing an absolute fortune. One or two protests then fine but almost every other week!

Awful decision and our local Jewish communities are far more law biding than almost everyone.

Totally agree, appalling decision! You are correct, Jewish communities cause very few problems. It is a pity that many other factions in this country do not follow suit. It is fine for Palestinian supporters to cause mayhem in our cities but not for Israeli footballll fans to attend a football match. This is just typical of the society that we now live in.

What a surprise! It’s the village fool who posts again making this a divisive board yet again. Oh i thought you were leaving my friend?
So we have the elitist Rupert Lower tweeting and god knows what the daily mail have said, and there we have it you have to re-share those views.

If you did the research, Macabi caused a lot of damage in Amsterdam which is a jewish friendly place throughout its history. This is the very reason why they have been banned. Why would you want them to come to Birmingham? We don’t need genocide supporting hooliganism here in the UK.

BaggieAl response: Come in a dinghy you get benefits, stay in a hotel - typical 50p reform answer. Our government whoever in power is being bought by foreign lobbyists and you shout Britain First.

Also the European leagues should only be for europeans not a country from the middle east. If you really think they should be allowed, how about we let a Saudi team into the league? I very much sure you right wing racist folk will approve.
This has nothing to do with Jewish people in the UK, as a large majority of them are absolutely wonderful people. It?s the israeli hooligans.

Poor response greyhorse. I did do my research and it was not just about Amsterdam but the police in Bham not wanting counter protests. Even Starmer who is weak says the decision is disgusting but you seem not to agree.

Ok though for the huge policing costs in London every other week and police being kicked and punched by leftie nutters. No public safety concerns there!

As for your comments about those coming in dinghies - well I do charity work for the homeless and they were in the news again last night. Even a big leftie in our family agrees if illegals get warm hotels and three meals a day then our homeless should be priority and given the same. Do you disagree with that too?

I actually think its the right decision. There's a high risk of violence, injuries and worse at this game, so why not defuse it?

I can see why they think its in the best interests of public and police officers' safety.

Also, you can't compare a football game with a protest Al. They are different things.

I didn’t want to respond to these ‘threads’ as this is why this site is self imploding. But I am glad 123 you have responded. Now i’m suckered in.
The fact that Valencia (just heard on LBC) they closed their game to both fans for the same reason: violence and unrest.. yet police do it here and it’s jump at the defence of trouble making fans? Surely i’m missing something here? On LBC they were just saying there is growing unrest of the war that’s happened with so many innocents on both sides losing their lives. It’s just asking for trouble.. and i’ll say this now.. i bet you there’ll be a lot of Palestinian flags at this game to make a point now. Which itself will cause more headlines and usual posters here will come and cry here.

The main point was WM police were worried about protests, Ok though to have leftie nutters every other week in London protesting causing a huge police bill and public unrest.

Even most of the weak Labour Party disagree with the decision. Respect your view though 123 as this is what debate is all about. I do accept Israel should not be in the competition though.

The main point about all this is what message it sends to the Jewish community who are far more respectful in this country than Muslims or Whites,

Everybody has a right to housing, food and health when not in work. The homeless crisis is because for a variety of reasons they dont access it. This narrative that illegals get more than others is tosh.

Believe me with my work with homeless Matt most don?t choose to be homeless and it can happen to anyone. Wouldn?t those genuine homeless people love a comfy lovely hotel and three meals a day, I know a lad who is working for the minimum wage and lives in a part derelict house with no hot water and no heating hence the rent is very low but he can?t afford a penny more. The alternative is that or a bench!

You are right in principle Regis but my point is it does nothing for the antisemitism and believe me it?s huge here. You can?t have one set of rules for one and not the other. The cost of Palestinian protests every other week is huge and police are badly injured and properties damaged. Three protests maximum perhaps but every other week! Come on! The Jewish communities in this country are very law abiding and you don?t here about grooming, drugs or rapes associated with other ethnicities including whites!
