  • Middlesborough v Ipswich

This will be an interesting watch tonight to see how our ex players do. I think Boro may tail off as fancy Ipswich along with Coventry to be right up there.

With no football of late this may be a good one to watch. I can see a draw or Ipswich win!

Ok, couldn't find anything else on particularly enticing so opted to watch the game instead and, tbh, it's been a pretty entertaining first half, especially last 30 mins. Boro probably just about deserve to be in front with a decent penalty save and then that OG.

As for our ex-players, Palmer is class but I guess our PSR finances dictated that one, O'Shea and Furlong ok but nothing special and the less said about Kipre's howler the better 😁 (though he did well for us and I was sad to lose him at the time leaving us with Bartley and Ajayi) Second half looks to be lively too

Not been generally too impressed with O'Shea since he left us but thought he put in some decent performances for Ireland in the latest internationals. Boro's second goal was well taken but O'Shea's really got Ipswich back into it to make it a bit of a nervy end.

Think Boro go top again now over Coventry? In any event, I quite enjoyed watching that. Let's just hope we can show some of the attacking intent shown in this match against PNE tomorrow!

Morning Phil. I thought he was having a decent enough game until that overall. I wouldn't class it as a clanger though. Davis and Cajuste were far more culpable during the build up and Kipre got wrong footed by a deflection.

His game along with Ipswich's went down markedly thereafter though. While I rated his contributions here there's no doubting he played on the edge and ricks were a feature of his game. Saying that Corberan brought some good form out of him.

I note two of his former Albion colleagues who also benefited from CC's set up managed to switch off, get caught out of position and jog back at their own leisure a few times as well. No surprises there. One scored though while the other drifted in and out of the game.

By the by, what has happened with Conor Townsend, who also joined Ipswich Town!? Has he featured at all? If I remember correctly, he joined them when they were promoted to the PL.
