A lot of irony here that Coventry rested Wright and Sakamoto yesterday. Their best two players.

Not daft, is he Fat Frank?

But they have quality in depth Matt. Heggebo is not a clinical scorer - we don?t have a pacy midfield replacement ( Collyer and Styles are average ) and Wallace is slower than a barge on a canal.

Start with the best team to win and bring key players off later if needed. Key players like Phillips and Mepham always start so are we saying they are fitter than others?

Dont Ipswich have quality in depth? They spent £60m this summer and non of them are first on the team sheet. Look at the wingers they played last night, Clarke cost them £18m and McAteer £13m. But apparently rotation made them lose and not Coventry….

We dont have strength in depth, but if our lads get injured due to overplaying during tough periods, then you have to play the likes of Wallace every game. Not just a one off for rotation.

Say what you like about Heggebo, no he wont be a clinical scorer but if you play Maja game after game, he gets knocks. He has been injured 18 months out of 2 and a bit seasons!

Defenders are slightly different as they dont do a lot of running compared to other outfield players.

There is a lot of criticism of Heggeboe when it comes to goals scored although everyone accepts his work rate and effort cannot be faulted. But, I can only think of one game where he has had a through ball played for him to run on to into the box and on that occasion he was fouled and brought down and should have had a penalty. In the same game he was away inside the Portsmouth half and was dragged back. The guy cannot score goals if he is not being given any opportunities.

Very good point Wazoo! You could also say the same about Asante and Armstrong. I have always said our midfield is the weak link - no service - too slow moving the ball forward and no creative spark

My main criticism over team selection is the reluctance to make early changes when clearly the selection is not working.
I accept the need to have some caution over potential injuries, but notwithstanding we are too late with our reaction.

The Preston match necessitated some changes towards the end when 2-0 up, with Campbell and indeed Molumby both clearly showing serious tiredness. The multiple changes Preston brought on, should have been immediately matched by us, rather than the delay and their inevitable goal scored. A preventative and indeed initiative substitution far better.

Mason is always going to rotate the team, that's the impression I get from him.
Collyer is out for tonight I believe.
