I?ve always said Abella is one of the main problems, too much input, is he hindering Mason?
Maybe Abella is sticking to Nestors way of playing, it?s obviously not working and Mowbray was right in his interview with Slaven when he said these directors of football or whatever they are called have too much influence on team matters

Basically, we are too defensively minded. It is safety first, hence the sideways, backwards passing in the middle of the pitch. We rarely try the defence splitting ball in case we lose possession. If the pass does not come off, so what? Try again, it might jut come off the next time. The way that we are playing now is predictable, boring and so easy to defend against. We look so lacking in enthusiasm and energy compared to most opposition.
