  • Trapdoor well and truly wedged open

After surviving due to promoted teams not being good enough for the Premier League it looks like our luck has finally ran out.

Add buying great players, selling them, replacing them with good players, selling them, replacing them with average players, you soon end up with something that resembles a Championship side.

Only 5 games in but can anyone really see a way out?

Good job "the penny has finally dropped" eh, Jeff?

I can't add to that mate without just repeating myself on the disgraceful mismanagement of our club!

I don?t see a way out. I?m hoping we can at least get 12 points to make sure we don?t have the worst Prem season of all time.

When the new players have bedded in and Vito has impressed his playing system on the team, we will escape the drop. The players and the manager are much better than you give them credit for.

I share your faith in the manager, I'm less sure about the players we've bought as they're all unproven in the Premier League and I believe the promoted sides will be stronger this year. I'm also concerned about the absence of an experienced and natural leader in the team, I'm not sure about Toti as a regular starter let alone captain.

In the E&S today the manager was calling on the fans to help the team! After last week at Spurs and today at home against Brighton the fans are asking him why he keeps screwing it up so badly! We ended up with 4 centre halves on the pitch, the last one coming on at 1-1 and not a ball carrier or centre forward until he brought Tolu on in added time. This club is a shambles from top to bottom. It's not even a shadow of the side that won promotion and fought it's way to Europe only 5 years ago. It is criminal how the ownership have so badly mismanaged the club to this point.

I think VP is feeling the pressure... His sending off and his odd substitutions with half an hour to go both seem to confirm this.

Fosun must be getting a bit twitchy will they blame VP or Shi? I think it?s inevitable VP will be gone after Burnley. I have no faith in us beating anyone at the moment.

The players cannot do the basics. I cannot see a playing identity, nobody looks like they know what they are doing and losing has become a habit.

Looks like Wolves maybe Vitor's 16th, yes that's 16th club on his CV.

The club is an embarrassment from top to bottom.

Wokes, with all respect, are the players and manager still a lot better than what I give them credit for?

I think the players are, but not so sure about the manager!

I think VP showed what a good manager he is last year and although he's going to lose his job soon it will be as a scapegoat for Fosun's failings.

I know we haven't won a game since the Leicester game last season, but looking at that season first, after the Leicester game we were pretty much staying up with little to play for and a number of key players eyeing exits. Is VP responsible for that drop in team motivation? I'd say it was to an extent out of his control.

As for this season I think he's been hamstrung by our owners with their wage cap and poor business in the transfer window. We now have a squad with potential but too few proven premier league quality players. We have now been beaten by all the promoted sides suggesting there Summer business was better than ours. The problem clearly lies with Fosun's penny pinching approach to running the club.

I didn't think that through did I... I'm still apportioning most of the blame with Fosun though.

When VP gets sacked who's going to want the job!?

....and what players would want to play for the club come the inevitable panic buys in January?

Look at the state of the clubs that were owned by Chinese after they left-its frightening.
These times are very similar to the dark days in the mid eighties.
Remember though, Wolves probably are not the club for you if you want to basically compete.

Jeff Shi is the Chinese Bhatti.
