The fee for Langstaff, while being a sizable chunk by League Two standards will probably be paid in installments.
Will this money be used to make a marquee signing? Is it simply recouping earlier signings or will if just get absorbed in general running costs? Anybody ITK :)

I was going to say the same. Can't see massive cash signings, but Macca departing means we have a smaller wage bill and more cash, so it will hopefully mean we can strengthen with real quality or tie our stars down to longer deals.Quote:

When the original planning application for The Nest went before the council, one of the points raised by us to show that there was no interest from other parties was its’ price. Unfortunately I can’t find the appropriate link to confirm. Anyway from memory (and I don’t think it is far away) the original asking price was around £925k and it had been reduced to about £750k. Similar to Maccas’ rumoured transfer fee.
I obviously have no knowledge at all of how the club intend to run its’ finances.
It is possible I suppose that the Macca money could now effectively have bought The Nest. Although they obviously spent a lot more since on the structural changes.
So moving forward, Maccas’ wage and some of the income from The Nest could become part of the playing budget.
And you think fans on a fans forum will have access to the clubs accounts.
We certainly already have enough bodies, but I guess the replacement of Macca comes down to the management/owners belief of whether we already have the replacement in either Jatta, Scott, McGoldrick and Morias.
If I had to put money on which of them would get 15+ playing up top, I’d say Didzy.
After seeing Jatta a few times I’m still not sure if he will consistently be the right man, but his scoring record so far is good over a small sample.
I really hope I’m proved wrong but I’m not sure Scott has the pace or physicality to be a consistent threat in league 2, and that’s before his injury.
Morias I fear is way off but the club have obviously seen something in him.
My gut feel is we’ll utilise the loan market for a striker, if needed.
This is how I see as well. I just don’t see the bros going and spending a few hundred grand on someone that may or may not be better than what we already have. I quite like the idea of any 2 from 3 of McGoldrick, Jatta and Scott (it’s about time we gave him a shot up front). I think we’ll go for a loan for someone with proper pace and movement to complement what we have, that can just go back to their parent club if it doesn’t work out. Macca scored a lot of goals last year but let’s not forget, Notts scored a lot of goals in general! We still have threats. Get JJ tied down to a new contract, get a striker in on loan, another midfielder and a defender or 2. Make a decision on whether Stone is staying as backup or get him replaced and we’re about there. Despite losing Macca, I’m excited about the season ahead. COYPQuote:

We already had capacity for away supporters of 500 in the MLSB.
Now with the addition of The Nest it is now 1500.
So MLSB 500 + The Nest 1000. (Although they were running a little below this for the Euros.)
I believe the Euros were run on a temporary license so probably the reason for the lower numbersQuote:
