The fee for Langstaff, while being a sizable chunk by League Two standards will probably be paid in installments.
Will this money be used to make a marquee signing? Is it simply recouping earlier signings or will if just get absorbed in general running costs? Anybody ITK

Since the bros have come in there has been very little leaked by those that were ITK.
It’s anybody’s guess as to how the funds will be paid to us and then the plans for those funds. What I would say and it’s pure speculation, is that Macca was likely a top earner, the club will have a playing budget, his sale frees up that wage. Will it be used to offer JJ a better, longer term deal? Will the club use it to bring in players?
I genuinely don’t see us making a ‘marquee’ signing. But then, the club under the bros has a habit of surprising us.

I was going to say the same. Can't see massive cash signings, but Macca departing means we have a smaller wage bill and more cash, so it will hopefully mean we can strengthen with real quality or tie our stars down to longer deals.

Maybe they will spend none of it this season and I wouldn’t blame them if they did do that.
