I said a while back i feared we would offer Wilson a new deal sadly this run in when he has been coming off the bench in most games he has offered very little and will be older next season so needs to be released end of june its no time for sentiment, the only plus is he has been fit for the last few months.
If Wilson gets a pay as you play type deal for a third choice striker who will play only a handful of games then I think this isn't a bad option.
But this doesn't shout an elite move if true.

These contract discussions, along with Ruddy point to a more holistic squad approach rather than a lack of options or desperation. The Fulham Striker Muniz has been sounded out an option to compete with Isak as the rotation player.
I don't see us starting next season with just CW & Osula as the options up top competing with Isak.

It's sad how far Wilson has fallen but we need players off the bench to offer something different and he just doesn't any more.
We actually need someone who we'd actually be happy to start up front instead of Isak. We can't go through next season with one brilliant striker and 2 who offer either very little (currently Osula) or absolutely nothing (currently Wilson).
Aye, when I say a pay as you play deal it would come with the caveat that we sign another striker. My idesl scenario would be Osula as 3, Wilson as 4 and a new striker as a number 2 to challenge Isak.Quote:
