With the Vokes incident on Saturday there was no problem, the ref gave the penalty, the liner was happy Vokes wasn't interfering, Barnsley had accepted the decisions, everything was going swimmingly then up pops the VAR muppet and causes uproar and confusion. I said before the World Cup that VAR will cause more problems than it will solve, I just wasn't expecting to be proved right sitting there at Turf Moor, watching the farce unfold live in front of my eyes. But it won't happen again.
They won't bin it though, they'll persevere no matter the mayhem it causes. That's just the way football's run, by idiots.
