hardly comparable, we just played the best team in Europe (at the moment). your lot have been playing the best teams in Bristol, Sheffield and Burton.

I understand what Zippity is saying as it was really turgid especially in the first half, however, our goal difference didnt take a caning and we almost sneaked a point at the end.

I was also at the Etihad for the 6-1 and that team wasn't as good as this one.

We didn't get hammered because we were carrying an awful amount of luck in the first half and in the second half it was clear to see what Man City were doing. They were saving their game after downing a few gears.

We were worse than awful...but yeah in another world we could have nicked a point but then again in another world Man City could have won the game by whatever scoreline they felt was appropriate.

Fans are paying good money.....good effing money in order to see their team have a go. Have a frigging go and not look like scared children in a school play.


Man City might have a team of expensive quality players but they are there to be battled against with every ounce of energy required to not only nullify them but to also give them something to think about defensively.

We were at home so don't anyone use the old "at least we didn't get hammered" routine, because if this is the case then we might as well play among the championship teams and at least see some football with a chance to win in every game.

It was down to utter pot luck and one wonder save from Elliot, plus woodwork and mistimed efforts that we ended up losing by just one goal and guess what?
We played Man City in mid gear and even in that gear we made them look like they were in top gear, because we were simply that garbage.

No genuine fan can defend that utter dross.....no one.

No, no they're not. This view died 20 years ago. They are paying to get results and win points. That is the reality of today's PL.

Yes I would.
Why get beat 1-0 and endure severe dross when you can fight and take the game to the opposition as and when, even if we do get beat by more.
We at least have a better chance to score and entertain.

Going into that game with that mindset, especially at home borders on criminal...and I'm serious.
A total and utter embarrassment with no bragging rights for just getting beat by one goal.

yes i would
the laws or probabaility say the more **** you throw the more will stick

if we continue to sit back and try not to get beat at best we might get a point

if we attack and score we have two possabilities a win or a draw.

getting beat 5-1 and having a go and beint entertained to me is better than sitting back and getting punched drunk and hoping to knick a point (unjustly)

i go to watch barcelona and have been lucky enough to see brazil 4 times
i watch them as i love to be entertained and watch good attacking footy with both teams playing their part

we had the chance yesterday as football supporters to watch the best team in euorpe currently and be entertained .
but rafa spoilt that

what we were expecting is to pay to go and watch a football match and watch both teams try to win the game
